The owner was nice and helpful, but hospitality needs improvement. I booked a dorm, but upon arrival it was sold out. The owner was nice enough to give me a double room for the same price. The hostel website advertises Breakfast Included- not true. You have to pay extra, so DO NOT expect breakfast. I would've left a better review, had he simply offered me a coffee or something for the false advertising (even if it wasn't intentional), hospitality101. I even brought extra guests from the ferry!
HaLong Party Hostel is a new and definitely up and coming hostel in Ha Long city. The location is perfect, it's the nearest hostel to the main street where the bus stop is, and it's easy to get a motor taxi. I paid 10,000 for a motor taxi from Bai Chay to the hostel (apparently a very good price). The manger is very friendly, and trying really hard to give you the best possible experience during your stay. Everything is very new and clean. Plus FREE BEER 8-10pm and FREE breakfast!
Anna is awesome!!! Great value for the money! Don't expect much, it's a bed and a bathroom (kind of); however, you do get FREE beer 6-8pm and FREE breakfast everyday. I booked a round trip bus to HaLong for 200k and then an overnight bus to Vientiane for 500k. They made sure I got my bus to Vientiane at 5pm even though my bus from HaLong arrived a bit late. Thanks!!!!
The owner Yue is very friendly and helpful! He even gave me a free beer on arrival around 6pm. Everything was pretty clean, and had a very home like atmosphere. Only downside is it's a very small hostel and not much space in the common area. Would've been nice to have a little personal space to make a phone call or something. FREE breakfast is included too with a coffee! Overall I highly recommended!
Had a great time at this hostel. It has all the basics you need, and the staff is very friendly. It is a great atmosphere for meeting people and there is a nightly pub crawl too. Only downside is that it is not in the center (less than 10 min walk) and you have to walk uphill to get there. Overall a great place!
Everything was perfect! The room was big too. I stayed in a 7 bed dorm, but it is more like a mini apartment that splits the rooms in two, and you get a personal kitchen area. The staff was great, free coffee and tea was a cool bonus, and they have a lot of recommendations for good lunch specials. Also, there is a free (tip based) pub crawl, a lot of fun!
Best hostel in New Zealand!!! Staff was awesome and super helpful. Free pasta and rice everyday was great, and the free BBQ on Friday was tasty! Very fun social environment, and the common area was nice and cozy. Only downside is only 24 hours of free wifi, but staff is helpful, just don't depend on internet.
Great hostel! Free wifi! Everyhing was very clean too! Downside is reception is not 24 hrs
Great hostel and amazing location! Staff is super friendly too!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Other guests were respectful of eachother. A 24 hr staff so you can arrive at any hour was nice. A great place for a short stay in Qingdao.
Staff was very friendly and the hostel bar was fun and lively, decent drink prices too. Location could be better, it's about 3 blocks from the nearest metro, and a bit of a walk to the city center. Beds were kind of dirty, but its a great value and a great place to stay for a couple nights.
A fantastic hostel! Very clean and very friendly staff. The room was huge! The 10 bed dorm had a fooseball table, a living room, and a kitchen in it! Great location too, right across the street from the main train station.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, free tea at night, convenient computers in the lounge. A little far from the city center, but easy to get to via bus or train. Overall a great hostel!
Great place to meet lots of cool new people!
