A decent place to stay if you are looking to save some money. Was close to the ocean, old fort and seafood market. Had a lovely rooftop terrace overlooking the city where a nice breakfast was served. Basic accommodations but was clean and safe and comfortable. Make sure you are prepared to walk up some steep steps to your room and the rooftop. The shower was not working properly in our bathroom but the bucket was available as an alternative. Overall a pleasant stay.

Coral Rock Hotel

A relaxing getaway in a quiet and secluded area of the island. Staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodations were very lovely. We especially enjoyed the A/C and the pool that overlooked the ocean. Food was delicious but expensive. It was also a pricey ride from Stone Town at $60 each way. However, worth the money to stay at such a beautiful place. The hotel arranged a snorkeling day trip to a stunning island for $80 pp and it was the highlight of our week in Zanzibar. Would return.

Showers were sometimes cold and took a long time to heat up. We were also checked into a room that had an ant infestation but we were quickly changed to a new room without any problems! Loved the balconies and the views. Beach was excellent but found we got ALOT of bug bites. Overall we had a GREAT stay...staff were amazing! THANKS!
