Planet Traveler Hostel, Toronto, Canada
10.0
20th Aug 2017

Very impressive, sociable hostel in good location nr Kensington Market. Common areas were great including a fantastic rooftop with a view of the Toronto skyline. Multiple social events arranged by the hostel staff, who were all friendly and helpful. Great day trip to Niagara Falls arranged via the hostel. Free breakfast and late checkout, good security, computer access and TV. All in all, would highly recommend!

Location of the hostel in the old town is exceptional, although to get cheap eats sometimes need to venture outside the old city walls. Rooms were fairly standard, perhaps a lack of plug sockets in the dorms for the people on the higher bunks. Breakfast was quite good and reasonably priced, nice patio area in the courtyard. Walking tours and trips to the nearby waterfall organized by the hostel - met some great people, would recommend for solo travellers!

Great central location by the French Quarter. Frenchmen Street very nearby along with an abundance of bars and restaurants. We stayed in the 3 bed private room with an en-suite bathroom and it was perfectly comfortable, if a little bit tight on space. Convenient washing facilities and good security. The staff organised a number of social events and guests were very sociable, it was very easy to get to know fellow travellers. Would highly recommend to travellers in NOLA!

Very clean, friendly staff, free printing, good value money and great location for exploring Bangkok. Breakfast was slightly disappointing and there was little interaction between guests in the hostel.

Very clean room and great value for money, friendly staff and decent restaurant below the hostel. Location not ideal for travelling to the main sights in central Bangkok and there was not much interaction between guests in the hostel.

KEX Hostel, Reykjavik, Iceland
9.4
22nd Sep 2014

Have stayed at KEX on a few occasions now and would highly recommend to someone looking to stay in Reykjavik. Location is fairly central, near to bars and attractions in the city. The decor is interesting, but the best aspect is the hostel bar which attracts a good crowd, especially on Fridays/Saturdays. 16 bed dorm was quite spacious, but 10 bed dorms are quite cramped. Breakfast is offered for an additional cost and is quite popular, however I don't think it is particularly cheap.

Good location, en-suite private rooms were a good size. Hostel was clean throughout with downstairs bar, games room and excellent free breakfast in the morning. However wi-fi was poor, no connection in the room. Overall would definitely recommend.

KEX Hostel, Reykjavik, Iceland

Hostel in a great location, fantastic downstairs bar with live music and loved the decor throughout. Staff were very amicable and offered useful advice, in particular the Scottish man (apologies, forgot your name!). Ample amount of kitchens and shower facilities, but I found the wi-fi connection temperamental at times. Breakfast was quite expensive and had to pay for linen hire, however would certainly recommend KEX to anyone staying in Reykjavik.
