Super friendly hostel with very reasonable priced double rooms, which were equipt with air con, fan and a fridge! The hostel is well located with the bus station, the historic old town and with a decent supermarket round the corner. Loved the fresh fruit and juice with breakfast. There is a decent sized kitchen and you can wash your own clothes free of charge.

Hostel Pousada do Ade

Super friendly beach hostel! Alvaro and Paula were very helpful with lots of information about the island and even helping to book onward buses. Wifi in communal areas, reasonably priced drinks and comfortable hammocks to chill out in! The ensuite double rooms are huge. Really easy to find: Turn left when you exit the boat pier and walk 20m along the beach until you reach a sign post with Pousada do Ade, turn right. The rest is signposted. To get to island: 30min ferry from Puerto Ilha do mel.

Great location in the Palmero District, clean and comfortable room, hot showers and fruit, cake, tea, coffee breakfast. There was a hair dryer in the room! BE AWARE: Prices are set in USD. If you want to pay in ARG Peso, the owner converts at the black market rate not the national rate, so you end up paying considerably more than expected! Bring USD. We didn't find the owner very welcoming.

Positives: central location, comfortable beds, hot showers, friendly staff. Negatives: no wifi, rubbish breakfast, really creeky floorboards, sounded like the place was going to fall down every time someone walked past our room!

Great showers, really good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds, helpful owners, super clean, big bedrooms, great storage in the bedrooms, really nicely decorated, good DVD collection. The only negative is that the wifi is rubbish! But that's across the board in Bolivia.

Really comfy beds. Good amount of space. Good atmosphere in the bar. Noisy but that's to be expected on a party hostel. Lovely hot showers! Really clean. Good and well priced food. Rubbish wifi, but that's seems to be the norm in Bolivia. We didn't get a very good tour by the reception staff so never even realised there was a tv room until we were leaving. A bit far from any good restaurants. The most annoying this was no plug sockets for charging on the rooms!

The hostel it's self was nice. The beds were big and comfy. However at different stages of our one night stay there was no electricity and no water. But no body explained why or when it would be fixed. We were literally left in the dark!
