Hotel Jeshua, Guayaquil, Ecuador
8.6
10th Feb 2016

We stayed here one night in transit from the airport to the bus station. Hotel Jeshua is very clean and very secure. It's about 10 or 12 minutes by cab from the airport or bus station. It suited our needs perfectly. The host lives on site and is very helpful. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. We would recommend this as a stopover for travelers. It's not a party place. Can't comment on proximity to anything you might want to see in Guayaquil because we just got up and went to the bus station.

Excellent place to stay in Hania old town. Walking distance from the bus station and the old port. Nice room with small balcony. WIFI only worked for me in the lobby although there was a server right outside our room. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Pickup from the ferry is included. Staff here are excellent. Room was clean. Hotel is just down from the main street so less expensive than cliffside rooms. Breakfast cake, coffee and juice is a nice touch. Excellent place to stay in Fira.

Dinanaxos Studios, Naxos, Greece
10.0
17th Apr 2014

Dina picked us up at the ferry. Excellent service. Our room was large, with adequately equipped kitchenette and big balcony with a view of the sea. Dina's is only a short walk from the quiet northern end of Agios Prokopios beach and also a short walk from the village where there are restaurants. Dina couldn't have been kinder to us. She drove us into Naxos town to get groceries and even invited us to Easter dinner with her family, a highlight of our 8 week trip. Stay here if in Naxos.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the end of the metro line but not too bad. The ferries are within walking distance too. Like many streets in Athens, it's a bit seedy in the area late at night.

Homeros is a great place to stay. There is more atmosphere than you can absorb. The service is excellent as is the breakfast. Everything in Selcuk is within walking distance. We took a bus from the bus station to Ephesus and walked back. It's not that far. If you're going to Ephesus, stay here.

Hostel Marker Dubrovnik Old Town, Dubrovnik, Croatia

24th Jul 2011

Marko and staff are fantastic. They're always asking if everything is okay and they make sure you're happy. The location is just outside the Pile Gate to the old town. It's easy to get to from the main bus station by local bus and it's right where you want to be. The street noise can be annoying. The price is higher than other cities we've visited in Croatia but I guess they can get it because of the location. Once you accept the price, they look after you.

Villa Triana, Zadar, Croatia
8.3
19th Jul 2011

Villa Triana is advertised as being on the beach, which it is, but when we arrived we were sent to a house about 5 minutes walk up the hill. It didn't matter because we didn't care about the beach anyway. The room we had was big with ensuite bath, kitchenette and balcony. The landlady was very accommodating. It's kind of out in the beach suburbs but it's a good place to stay. The bus from Diklo to the old town runs every 1/2 hour and only takes 15 minutes to get in there. Good spot.

Both the man and young woman at reception were excellent. The room was fine. The bathroom was small - you can sit on the toilet or close the door but you can't do both at the same time. However, not a problem if you're a close couple. Excellent location. No problems.

This hotel has the thinnest walls of any that we have stayed in over 2 months of travel. Not only could we hear the neighbour talking on the phone we could hear the person on the other end of the line (at 1:30 am). Street noise is also a bit of a problem but that's understandable. It's a great location but bring your earplugs.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Room overlooking the square is a great location also only about 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Only about 8 double or triple rooms with 4 bathrooms. Very clean. It's loud on the square until about 3 am but the balcony doors keep it down to a dull roar. It's not as loud on the interior as some other pensiions. We'd go back in a flash. Highly recommended.

Miguel, the host, was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. Others seemed to enjoy the common room but we found it a little noisy but understood. The walls are not soundproof so late night conversations did keep us awake. However we\'re old and go to bed very early. This is a good spot, highly recommended.
