Really cool place in the centre of Shoreditch. One for younger backpackers wanting to meet other people and go out in the surrounding area

Pretty average place. Showers weren't very clean, but the rooms were. Overall it was a bit too expensive for what it offers, even for London.

Amazing price for what you get. Great rooms, beds, bathroom, etc. The staff are fantastic at organizing tours for you too

Not a bad place to meet other people, but some of the staff and more permanent residents of the hostel can be a bit weird and somewhat rude.

Loved staying here, the staff were nice enough to show us places to eat around town, organize tours for us and allowed us to have a nap and shower when we were just passing through a week later. Mahmood, Rami and Ahmad were all great, thanks guys!

The staff were absolutely brilliant, everything was really clean and it's in a great place in the old quarter. Go here for the best value for money.

Good hostel, close to the central Hauptbanhof and the brewery that makes the best beer in the world in my opinion. The only thing that sucked was the smell of yeast from across the road.

There was only one staff member there that was actually polite abd helpful. One night we were locked out of our room and instead of having an early night we weren't let back in until 3am.

There were flies around the hostel and I didn't feel very secure having my stuff in the room overnight or the bottom floor locker room. That aside friendly staff and the bar was great.

Dear Alex, Thank-you for you feedback. It is concerning to hear that there were flies around - if you could let me know exactly where you encounted them I will make sure that these are dealt with immediately. I have checked your room and the communal areas but am not exactly sure where it was you saw them. Obviously this is something we take very seriously, and does not make us feel like a clean hostel. The lockers are something that we have identified as an issue, and actually new lockers will be installed with new bunk beds over the next month so that there is a large pull out draw which can be locked for every bed in the room. Hopefully you can come back and stay with us again once we have them in place. Kind Regards, Amanda Roxburgh Hostel Manager amanda.roxburgh@bedsandbars.com
