Though we had some problems locating the hostel (the explanation on hostelword.com is VERY rudimentary, the marshrutka driver didn't know the street, no one responded to our e-mail about the shuttle service they claim to have), the place itself is nice to spend a few days in. It's 10-15 minutes to a lovely and not overcrowded beach. If you figured out how and where to take the marshrutka it is easy enough to get to the city centre, just takes a while (35-40 minutes). Better for a beach trip.
Thank you Retro Moldova Hostel for an excellent stay! The staff is super friendly and helped us with all our questions (how and when to get to Transnistria, how to find out about trains to Odessa, printing out boarding passes, etc). Our was very sweet and clean. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but from the inside it definitely can call itself best Hostel in Moldova!
great service, nice rooms, very clean
nice hostel, everything went great - except that someone stole 80 pounds out of our locked room. better don't leave valuable belongings out in the open.
