Cool place with traditional Japanese rooms. Staff is awesome. Location very good, 10-15 min walk to Kyoto station (depending on how fast you walk) and there is a subway station (Gojo) 2 min away. Only negative is that its very expensive.

Well Located. 10 min walk from Ueno station which is a major hub for both the Tokyo Metro and JR lines. 2 min walk from Inaricho subway station which will take you to Ueno if your lazy. Senso-ji temple and Asakusa within walking distance. 24h convenience store down the street which was nice. Staff are overwhelmingly helpful. A bit far from Shibuya or Shinjuku but they can be reached in 30 min by the JR Yamanote line from Ueno station. Rooms are well equipped but small (it's tokyo)

Han Tang Inn Hostel

Hostel is in a good location near the stop for the Airport shuttle and close to a bus stop. Staff is great and atmosphere is good for meeting other travelers (especially if you take their terra cotta warriors tour, which is highly recommended)

Very good location 2 min walk from Tsim Sha Tsui subway station in Kowloon. Rooms are very small, although this is expected for Hong Kong. No hot water in shower on last day

Hi Inn Dragon Tower

Harbin, China

The Staff was friendly but be advised that none of them speak any english. Nonetheless they made protracted efforts to communicate with us and they get points for effort. This is really a hotel rather than a hostel. Rooms are very nice and clean. However I would not recommend staying here to anyone who does not speak chinese based solely on the fact that the location is abysmal and the public transport is difficult (though not impossible) to navigate for foreigners

Staff is very nice and speaks english well. They will write any address or information you need in Chinese for you. Very good location. 5 min walk to tiananmen square. 3 min walk to nearest subway station. Recommend going to the wall by public transport rather than on the hostel tour, the staff can tell you how.
