Great hostel a stone's throw from the main city plazas; friendly helpful staff; best mattress ever!; great showers with room to move & stay dry afterwards; great ambience; would highly-recommend it to all & sundry. Keep up the great work guys :-)
No clear indication of the hours for the bar or the restaurant, or of what was on offer food-wise. Came back to the hostel/hotel to eat on the Sunday evening at 6pm to find bar & restaurant closed and no food available. Required a trip back into Segovia to find food. Supermarket suggestion was no use, as it also was closed, being Sunday !!
Great hostel, right in centre of 'old city'; great staff, who greeted you whenever you appeared (a little touch that makes the solo, sometimes lonely, traveler feel less so. Hi Lucia, thanks for all your help, advice, and beautiful smile.
Great location...across the boulevarde and just around the corner from the road up to the old town; two mini-supermarkets down the street and one open until 11pm only a block away. Very helpful & friendly staff; bathrooms cleaned twice a day; breakfast basics, tea & coffee, oil & condiments for self-cooking all supplied;. And hot showers non-stop. 3 common areas plus kitchen & balcony off it. What more could a backpacker want????
The position is excellent and the staff friendly, but their booking system needs an overhaul to say the least. I booked into an 8-bed mixed dorm for 5 nights. The 2nd night at 1am I was requested to move but refused--9 in the room that night another different 9 the following night and 10 on the next night. Everyone I spoke to had moved dorms at least once during their stay, regardless of how far ahead they had booked or how short or long their stay!
The bar was great...lots of locals pop in for breakfast and/or a drink, which added to the atmosphere. The hostel was very clean and close to all the main attractions. However, the en suite for our 5-bed dorm was very small...couldn't sit straight on, on the toilet! And with the loo in the same room as the shower, not ideal with 5 trying to share it. Roof terrace was cool, but kitchen on very top floor also, with no supermarket close by, so didn't get used. Very clean, and friendly staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff; lots of free tours (for a tip) and activities on offer, many at a discount. Paella and sangria nights, bar open nights. Great location close to everything, with great leafy square and eateries at the end of the street. I extended my stay as Granada had lots to do and see....lively multicultural city with a great vibe!! Only one small complaint....one shower with only toilet in same room not enough for 6 sharing. But having own kitchen area incl. fridge was A1
Very friendly and helpful staff (and the first I'd struck in Spain wo spoke reasonably good English! Very close to bus station, and also to the main attractions. Places for cheap breakfast and eats in the vacinity too.
Shame there was no special menu for Christmas, as there was in 2009!
fOUR * ACCOMMODATION @ VERY REASONABLE RATE; FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF; BEAUTIFUL LAWNS,, ACCOMMODATION, DECOR; SAFE, SECURE CLEAN & CLOSE TO ONE OF BEST BEACHES ON SOUTH COAST. ONLY DRAWBACK IS MAIN ROAD, ESPECIALLY WHEN IN A TUK TUK....AFRICAN MASSAGE IN THE EXTREME
Water supply to showers could be improved--very weak flow and hot water only tepid(i.e. no cold water used).
