Old City Philly House

Philadelphia, USA

I found the manager here grating and inappropriate. He kept coming into the sleeping areas and trying to get people to join in drinking games and generally disturbing what is supposed to be a more private space, which made me (and I think a few other travelers) uncomfortable. He also got trashed at least one of the nights I was there and behaved in a way that was less than professional. The other staff members seemed fine, but yeah, the atmosphere was oppressive and uncomfortable at times.

It was like having a friend or relative there with us making sure we were okay the whole time. The room itself was simple but had a good feel and was very clean. The bathroom was great as it included a small bath which was a rarity on the rest of my trip. I really enjoyed my st
