City Hostel - Central Station

It was incredibly irritating that they close their reception early - though you can check in/out and come in whenever you like, if there were any problems it was impossible to solve. Their kitchen becomes unusable after 8pm as the stove stops working. The beds are very flimsy and on the bunkbeds feel like they will fall down! However, this was a fantastic location and, when there, the staff are very friendly. I would DEFINITELY stay again (but with better planning for food!).

This BUDGET hotel is not all it clams to be - though I am OK with low standards, they need to be honest with what they are offering. They do NOT offer free wi-fi, luggage storage, or any AC. There hotel is close to the bus/train station, but on the 'interesting' part of the tracks where there are more sex cinemas, casinos and money exchange vendors than operable street lights. They screams and police sirens in the middle of the night were NOT the calm atmosphere claim.

Wonderful 24-hour reception, INCREDIBLY close to a popular transit stop, but otherwise away from most interesting sights. Very charming room, with a quaint Grandma-esque decor that was hilarious. Good breakfast in the AM, and some really cute rooms with personal showers.

Ca' Dona' Apartment

Apartment was good value for money - it comfortably could sleep 5 people in your own private apartment. That being said, there were some difficulties (such as a broken refrigerator, broken toilet seat, very loud AC {but at least AC!!} that definitely made the stay inconvenienced. However, the owner was very accommodating and even though our plane was delayed over 2 hours with no way of letting her know, we were still able to call her and get keys at 2am! VERY central location.

Super great staff - they tried super hard to ensure my party was satisfied after we learned (too late) that this was a party hostel, and were more than happy to give us rooms far away from the noise. That being said, we couldn't hear all their loud bar music, but practically everything else! The walls are all very thin so any noise outside your room is awkwardly loud. Many of the showers didn't work, but there were many in the building to use instead. The "party" atmosphere was fairly forced.
