Academy Hostel

Florence, Italy

AMAZING hostel. Maybe even the cleaniest I have ever seen so far. Well equipped, even with nightlights, free apero (wine and pasta) every day at 18.30 where you meet other people. In the evenings, the receptionists take you out to their favorite places. And come on, you literally LOOK onto the Florence dome from the entry - WOW! Just rooms with windows to the street can be a bit noisy with people from outside at the weekend. But overall: One of the very best hostels, I have ever been to!!

Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Our stay was absolutely amazing: Daniel warmly welcomed us in this cute little B&B even though we arrived just before midnight. The room (deluxe room for two) was supercute-you feel that the owners care about it. Everything was clean, great choice of 5 different cereals, milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, sweets on your pillow, and even sometimes cake in the morning, genever, tiny roof terrasse, great recommendations for breakfast and dinner...What more can I say? One thing: Go there!

Flushing YMCA

New York, USA

We enjoyed our week at the YMCA a lot, it's a 10-min walk to the subway and then 30 min ride to Manhattan. We loved the surrounding Chinatown neighbourhood. $2 Breakfast is great, free WiFi, but unfortunately only in the cafeteria.

don't expect a hotel, but ok for hostel standards.

nice hostel, great stuff

Kangaroo Bakpak

Sydney, Australia

We had a great time in Kangaroo Bakpak, the staff was super friendly and very welcoming. As it is a rather small hostel, you get in contact with every new guest, which was a lot of fun. We slept confortably on good matresses, enjoyed the breakfast (cornflakes, milk, wheatbiscuits, jam, peanut butter, coffee and tea) and had a great time with both guests and the staff. The sheltered courtyard and the free (2x)laundry and dryer were also a big plus. We totally disagree with the few people saying this hoste
