The Lodge Camp

This is a log cabin which has every thing, almost. Great location to visit, day trips, Anuradharpura, Pollonarduwa, Dambulla, Sigiria and visits to the National Parks. The breakfasts are good. The evenings are cool and there are hot showers. WiFi is excellent, if you pay a little extra for the router to be put in your room.

FX Hotel Royal Panerai

Value for money, this has to be one of the best places to stay in Chiang Mai. They do not have a restaurant but there are great places to eat close by. Its a short walk to the huge night market which has over 3,000 stalls and is crowded with tourists and there are good places in which to eat close by. The FX Royal is a hotel and offers facilities which you would expect from a good establishment. The .WiFi is excellent

This has to be one of the best places to stay while in Chiang Mai. Why . . . because they go out of their way to make you feel at home and give good advice about various excursion options. They serve a good breakfast and on occasions have the best BBQ's bar none. During the hot season I strongly that you book one of the three air-con rooms, as if you are like me and have a low tolerance to hot climates. In other words, Highly Recommended.

Cozy Bangkok Place

I have stayed at this hostel for over 10 times now. Besides its unquestionable cleanliness, you have use of a well equipped kitchen and, with a 7/11 close by you can save a lot of money on food. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer and the use of an iron if you need one. The staff are always willing to help you with good advice of what tourist attractions are available. In other the place earns a highly recommended certificate from me.

I had to threaten to leave before I had my shower was repaired. They do serve breakfast but is not good value for money. I used the Pumpernickle Bakery for my meals. And then they charge 500 INS service charge which is not mentioned on HoetelWorld.

There is no hot running water in the room in which I was staying but they do supply you with a large bucket of very hot water, which is as good as a shower. Excellent WiFi. Menu is simple but the food is good. Wonderful family that own and run this hotel.

This is such a great place. Not far from Hua Lampong Railway station and near to busses that will take you to the Grand Palace and nearby attractions. The owner is always ready to help. The hostel has a kitchen with a cooker, microwave, refridegerator, drinking water for free and coffee and tea which is always hot. There is a washing machine and tumble dryerbehind the kitchen and a dinning place where you can sit and eat. This place is kept spotlessy clean.

This is by far one of the nicest places to stay while in Ching Mai or anywhere else for that matter. The staff are brilliant, helpful and friendly and give good advice on what to see and where to go. They serve great breakfasts at very reasonable rates. I only wish they would offer some thing for an evening meal or even the opportunity to use the kitchen to cook your own meals.
