The Explorers Guesthouse and Hostel

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Explorer's Guesthouse is an excellent choice to feel at ease in the big city! Welcoming staff & great large common area perfect for meeting other travelers. Loved the bathroom decor and always spotless. Dorms were sturdy and not squeeky for once! Good A/C and lockers to rent for good security. Location is perfect as you're close to the LRT line and Chinatown/Central Market within a few minutes walking. Breakfast was basic but coffee and tea available all day & they have Peanut butter : )

Sihome Backpackers Hostel

Amazing vibe and really social place to stay in Vientiane! As a solo traveler, I instantly had a wonderful group of friends! Being slightly out of the center, it is on a quieter street but still only 10 min walking. Free breakfast was great, rooms were spotless, a/c strong, great showers and genuinely caring staff. Can't say enough about the friendliness. Great value for dorm rooms, and one of the best hostels I have stayed in. Thanks

Singharat Guest House

Luang Prabang, Laos

Great hospitality at Singharat! They brought us ice cold lemon juice on arrival! Room was beautiful and clean but a/c was not working. Staff gladly switched us to another room but a/c was still not as cold as we would have liked since we were paying more for it. Otherwise, the setting was lovely with a wonderful balcony. We ate the complimentary breakfast there which was great. Overall a great option in Luang Prabang if you want to be out of the center (10 min walk) and feel welcome!

Kikies House

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Kikie' s was a nice base for our time in Chiang Mai. The rooms were clean and a/c was excellent! We loved the location - close enough to the main drag but on a quiet street near great cafes and restaurants. Marco and Kikie were helpful and always willing to answer questions. Beds were pretty hard but overall a nice stay.

Angkor Wonder Hostel

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Very good location - close to markets and restaurants but a bit off the path. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although a little loud, but it is probably loud everywhere. Wifi worked great and air con rooms were awesome! Mr. Why Not and his family were always very friendly and ready to help. Great budget option for Siem Reap and visiting Ankor Wat.

HI-Sukhumvit

Excellent stay with HI Sukhumvit! Location was great - steps away from BTS, 20 min walk to Eastern bus station and Soi 38 street food right outside the door! Staff was so pleasant and helpful. Great common areas, especially the rooftop terrace. A relaxing atmosphere but social and easy to meet other travelers as well. Beds not the most comfortable but rooms were clean and bright. Would recommend to anyone!

Ciak is a super friendly little place with all of the ammenities. Atmoshpere was great and great way to meet other travelers. Everything was clean and free Sangria (Sunday) and breakfast was really nice. Location close to the metro was really useful. Hairdryer was not working in the room but that is the only thing that was off. Thanks for a great stay in Roma!
