Its very good value for money and in a decent location... staff are also very friendly.... the atmosphere wasnt great whilst we were there because there were big groups of israelis, and they dont tend to socialise with others.
I know its a party hostel, but it seems to attract a small minority of people that act really stupid and aggresive.... Some of the staff were also rude because they expect you to eat/drink/do everything from the hostel, and if you ask for more information they just send you to their own travel agency.... not the most helpful.
Really nice hostel, Mike is a really nice guy and there are a lot of people studying Spanish in Sucre so you can find good crowds! Definately would recommend.
Our booking was confused and we had to move room each day. We were told to move out of the room at 10am and our other room was still not available at 4pm..... which isn´t the best considering that its extremely hot in the middle of the day. Staff were also extremely rude when we wanted to pay by VISA (they say on hostelworld you can) and were talking about us in Spanish, which we can understand completely. The place is dirty, showers are cold and you have to wait a long time for showers. AVOID
This place is ok.... the beds are nice enough and the staff are pretty friendly. The kitchen was not very good when we were there (although some staff said they were getting a new one soon). The bad things were that the breakfast was terrible (didnt even have milk) and you have to pay if you want to cook after checking out- which is a bit unnecessary. Overall it was ok but not amazing
This is a really lovely hostel, and Omar is a great host and gives all the information required before leaving for Torres del Paine. The only issue was that once he got angry because we left the dishes to dry, which we thought was a bit unncessecary. Apart from that the experience was great and I think that he felt a bit bad after getting angry and made an extra effort too. Also, breakfast is absolutely amazing.
Just stayed for one night, the place was good, nice kitchen and a lot of space to socialise etc. The only problem that it is pretty far from the bus station if you are walking, and its 10 minutes walk into town.
This is a decent hostel in the city centre. We couldnt see the whales because it was towards the end of the season (we were there at the start of November) but its still nice to be near to the sea. The hostel is nice but the staff are a little bit strict about others coming in and other things like that. They also didnt know as much about the town as we expected. However the place is nice and these were minor things, so its was good overall.
Nice hostel, with everything that you need. The best thing about the place is that breakfast is really really good! Staff are very nice and chilled out, and its in a decent location in the city. Would definately go back as it is very good value (at least in low-season!)
This is a very nice hostel BUT it is very far out of the town. To town the bus takes about 30 minutes, and is not frequent (there are 1 or 2 per hour). The directions from the bus station are impossible to follow, meaning you will have to take a taxi. However... staff are very nice, and they also make homemade cake and other nice things. You can use the washing machine for free, and there is a nice chilled out atmosphere. If it was close to town this place would be great...
Good hostel, in a nice location in the city. The common areas are very big and the garden is nice. The rooms are big with very nice showers. The only bad points were that the wi-fi didnt always work, and the breakfast was fine, but not as good as other hostels in brazil!
This hostel is cheap but you really get what you pay for.... the 9 bed dorm is way too small, with three triple bunks in one very small room. Also, there are no comunal bathrooms or even toilets, so if you need to use bathroom you will have to wait for a very very long time if there are others showering etc. Breakfast and the communal areas are good, just the rooms are very bad.
This is a really nice hostel with great staff, great facilities and very good rooms. It´s in a relatively quiet area of Rio, but the area is a lot safer than other areas such as Lapa, so it depends what you prefer. The only bad thing about this place is that the bar is very expensive, so nobody is drinking there which makes it more difficult for socialising! Really smart and modern hostel though and the staff are really helpful and kind.
Really nice chilled out hostel, in a good location near to the centre. Staff are really lovely and friendly. The only bad thing about the hostel is that the pillows are really bad! Apart from that I would recommend and would definately stay again. =)
This is a really great hostel!!! Lidi is so friendly that you feel like you´re at home in this lovely place. She is so helpful and welcoming, and will go out of her way to help you. Breakfast is also amazing. I would recommend this hostel and would love to stay here again! =)
Really good hostel, right in the middle of Lapa meaning that you are right in the middle of the street parties and the bars in a really vibrant and fun area of Rio. The best thing about this hostel is that the bar is very cheap, and everybody can socialise and meet new people, which is great for going out etc. I would definately recommend this to solo travellers.
This is quite a good hostel, its a nice room with AC for a decent price. We were a couple so it was good for us, but solo travellers may find it hard to socialise because there is no common room and there isn't much atmosphere if you're keen to socialise etc. The staff are very enthusiastic and nice - they can tell you everything about the city which was nice. The only other problem was that the sheet for the double bed was very small, but thats all. Overall it was fairly good.
We arrived and they said the room we reserved online wasn't available.... we accepted to change room and they said that it would be the same price. The room had a nice bed, but there was a shower in the corner of the room which leeked onto the floor, and they didn't provide any towels. The shower was full of mould and hair - and hadn't been cleaned for weeks/months. Sheets dirty and air conditioner broken, and they tried to charge us extra for the room we didn't reserve when we left! -- AVOID --
This is a really good hostel! We came back to Sandakan after our Jungle trip and chose to stay here again. The rooms are a lot better than expected, good value for money and the showers are very good. There is a sofa area with TV and DVDs which is good because Sandakan isn't the most exciting city. Staff are nice and the place is very clean... would definitely recommend.
We just stayed here for one night because we needed to stay a night before going onto Mabul. This hostel is cheap but you get what you pay for, its not very nice, was very hot because the AC was broken in the dorm room, and sleeping on the bunk bed was very difficult - there was no ladder and the bed was very loud when moving! Would only recommend if you're on a very tight budget.
Good hostel for those that want to party and meet new people. The average age was a bit younger than usual but the rooms were very good, the staff were very helpful and the stay was a very good one!
This is a really nice and chilled out hostel, it´s very sociable and the staff are very very helpful with anything that you need. Would definately stay again =)

This is a pretty nice big hostel. It´s clean and the dorms don´t have bunk beds. The kitchen was really good but the wi-fi and internet on the computers were not usually working whilst we were there, which was the only down side.
We stayed in a private room on the first floor and it was more like an apartment. We had a fairly large kitchen, a large bathroom and a computer between us and two other private rooms. Its very new, the staff are very helpful if you need them and the location is pretty good in a nice area of town.
This was a very sociable hostel with nice and friendly staff giving lots of information about Pula. There is an amazing rooftop terrace with barbeque for the guests, which was great. The only problem with the hostel is that there is one bathroom shared between the dorms, and due to the high number of people, the bathroom floor was really dirty. Also there was no lock on the bathroom door.
We booked the wrong dates to stay at this hostel (completely our own fault) but when we arrived the staff at this hostel did everything possible for us, calling to find us an alternative hostel, giving us directions and maps, and giving us a shot of honey liquer. The staff could not have been more helpful here, and we would have loved to have stayed if it wasn't full.
This was a really nice house with very helpful staff, I would definitely recommend staying here. The only bad thing was that it's a bit of a walk from the port, although the places near to the port are a lot more expensive so can't really complain!
Very good private accommodation, we enjoyed our stay =)
This was a very nice place near to the bus station, and its a 10 minute walk to the famous bridge. The rooms were really spacious and the showers were good. The staff were also very friendly and helpful
This is a good hostel in a very good location in town. The only problem was that wi-fi was occasionally not working. One thing that made our stay really good was the war seige tour offered by the hostel, and the guide (can't remember his name) was absolutely brilliant, probably the best tour guide we've ever had from a hostel.
This is one of the best places that I've ever stayed. Very relaxing place just outside the city centre, also with a bus stop just around the corner. Alana was always there to help us with what we wanted, and there are tea/coffee and homemade biscuits available when you want them. The showers are the most spacious and clean that I have seen in Europe. I can't recommend this place enough.
This was a nice hostel in a nice area of the city, and the staff are really nice and friendly. They always helped us with everything we wanted to do, and they were very interesting to talk to as well, explaining different things about Serbia! The location is good, next to St Sava's church which is very nice, and the hostel is just a few minutes walk from the trams as well. Would definitely stay here again!
This hostel was really good value for money, and the staff were excellent, we would definitely stay here again. There is a hostel under the same owner in Budva, which I would avoid because its a lot worse than this one.
This is a nice, quiet place to stay. The double room we had was nice and big, and Natasha was helpful telling us the best places to go etc. I would definitely recommend this place, although note that it might not be the best for lone travelers wanting to meet new people.
This was a pretty good hostel, and was good for meeting other travelers. It is quite a way from the old town, but the hostel does provide shuttle buses which is really good.
Very nice hostel with a good breakfast included. Location is perfect, rooms were very good with a/c and the hostel has a nice atmosphere. Only issue was that there were some problems with the wi-fi when we were there. Apart from that it was perfect.
This hostel wasn't bad, and the majority of staff were great, however one member of staff was really pushy trying to organise our travel for multiple cities around Egypt, continually pressuring us and making it more and more difficult for us to just organise or get advice on our own travel. We eventually had to pay the hostel 30 dollars commision just to book two train tickets for us (a lot for egypt) because we didn't want to join their organised travel.

Small but very nice, staff were very helpful and friendly, hostel was clean and had good character . Only problem was that the lockers did not work, and having to be back at 12.00 is slightly early
Very nice hostel just off the main road, helpful friendly staff and very nice clean rooms! Great Hostel
