Really nice simple little hotel. Clean, cheap and friendly. Accept credit cards. Nice balcony with nice view. AC. Fridge in the room. TV. Ten minute walk from ancient site. No breakfast.

Decent small room. Good security. Good location in the pedestrian area of Nafplio. Room had AC, a fridge and kettle and mini tv. Room made up every day. Cash only. Shower was like a high pressure hose. Breakfast was a cracker.

Good hostel. Easy to find, close to bus station and town. Friendly greeting. Bedroom good, comfortable, cool with lockers. Washrooms ok. Nice terrace. Kitchen was clean too. Only complaint is I was in a bedroom full of big groups of smelly and messy boys. Hostel may want to split the big groups of boys into two rooms some of whom came in late, drunk.. Generally quiet and pleasant though.

Relatively new hostel but doesn't seem spotless and new, needs constant maintenance and cleaning. Easy to find. Friendly greeting. Nice social area and bar (which gets noisy at night, great if you want to party). The rest is decent but pretty average. Washroom average with average cleanliness. Small dark kitchen. No breakfast. Bedroom ok with lockers. Bedroom was super hot, no ventilation and AC not up to the job, had to open the window. Possibly the worst nights sleep I've ever had in a hostel.
I fell asleep reading this. I tried again but then I got distracted by all the other great comments on here. CRACKER!

Pros: Very good hostel. Decent room. Nice lounge. Friendly staff. Close to bus station. Breakfast included. Very chilled out atmosphere. Tea and coffee all day. Kitchen for guests. Security gate. 24 hour staff. Cons: Bathroom could be better and more of them.

Hostel atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff - mind you they did treat the hostel lounge like their own by inviting their mates over for the football, a bit unprofessional. Breakfast included but minimal. Facilities ok BUT everything needs to be updated, cleaned or renovated. Bedroom ok but minimal and without air con, fans or even a curtain. Kitchen available but felt like a grubby student kitchen, all the chairs were broken. Bathrooms were terrible - grubby and ramshackle & water not always hot.

Pros: Easy to find. Comfortable. Nice coffee for breakfast. Decent shower. Cons: Desperately needs air con - too hot in summer. Not big fan of breakfast pastry. Bedroom was a bit cramped.

We signed up for a cheap room with a shared bathroom and ended up being put in a lovely private apartment for the same price. LUCKY. The reviews on hostel world are very confusing - not representative of our experience. Pros: Lovely apartment upgrade. Excellent location. Excellent facilities. Air con. Big bed. Kitchen. Lounge area. Garden! Cons: Confusing! Arrived late and did not know where to go. Tiny shower cubicle.

Lovely hostel but a bit out of the main town area. It does have some nice cafes around the corner though.

Not a fan to be honest. Cheap and cheerful but the room was quite soulless with just a bed, a fan and a fridge. A bit like a prison cell. Didn't fell particularly welcome either, not genuine. Enquired about getting a fresh sheet for the bed and the response was less than satisfactory - most would say offensive and rude. Location was average, there's not much around. On the whole didn't really like Koh Samui. Only stayed 2 out of the 3 nights booked. Would I go back? What do you think? No thanks.
I think you must have us confused with somewhere else man! Really?! You didn't like Samui? Whats wrong with you dude... Lighten up and enjoy life!!

Loved this hostel. Really welcoming and helpful. Chiang Mai was a delight. Definitely do a cookery course and try to visit when the market is on, weekends I think.

Stayed at Fernlofts before but not the Chinatown one - a longer walk than I thought. Place had lots of character and was a bit of an experience to stay there but it was very small, quite odd and felt like you were living on top of the person in the next bunk. Felt like I was sleeping in the owners living room, a little awkward. I think I would go to the other Fernloft near Orchard Road next time.

Great little hostel. Was a little away from the main town but Melaka is particulrly big so doesn't matter really. Great for families.

Typical backpackers' place. Busy, noisy, young crowd, lively bar. Perfectly servicable but maybe I'm getting too old for this backpacking lark. Beds were too small, others too noisy, showers not good enough, toilets nit clean enough. Free breakfast absolute chaos & poor (compare it to some of the breakfasts I've been given in Germany.) Bar was a typical backpackers' bar - cheap. Food mostly good. Service pretty shoddy. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a bad hostel. I'm just too old for drunk teens

Lovely little place run by a lovely lady - very friendly and accommodating. Perfect for quiet couples. Good facilities including kitchen, bathroom was a bit small maybe. Bedroom was perfectly comfortable with sink. Good location and reasonable price. Was quite noisy but that's only because of temporary building work - our host was very apologetic about it. I'd go again.

Perfectly acceptable. Difficult if you don't speak Spanish but that's your problem. Good location but down a dirty alley, hotel very clean though. Surprisingly noisy. No breakfast but good value. Go to the bakery around the block on the corner by the square for breakfast.

Very good hostel. Clean. Good bed, good bathroom, good lounge. Feels more like a hotel. Gallipoli tour was good too and the restaurant out the back was really nice. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. Town was nice too what with the tea garden and the fish shop on the corner. Very good value. Could use air con and was quite quiet while I was there but definitely recommended.

Great hostel. Really enjoyed my 5 nights. Has a hotel feel. Great social atmosphere. Great food. Great town. Great, generous hosts. Nice comfortable bed. Nice breakfast terrace. Very friendly and homely. Good location, a minute from the lanes, 30 seconds from a shop, 3 minutes to bus station. The only fault was the shower was annoying. Recommended. Say hi to Tom, Mozlem, Ali & Single Ali for me :D

Pretty average hotel but in a good location. Bed was comfortable but the hotel seemed like it could do with a good scrub especially the toilets. And it seemed like ut was run by a boys brigade, friendly as they were. BBQ was good so look out for that and it had a pool which was a major bonus. Generally acceptable but just in need of a few renovations. Had a nice hotel feel at least. I did have to wait a LONG time fir them to check me in. Tours cheaper along the road & food good at Mustafa's. :)

Reasonable location. Easy to find. Staff really friendly & very eager to help. Dorm room ok, air con, lockers but noisy beds. Could use individual lights. Bathroom fine but busy. Had a really nice feel about it, friendly and social. Nice roof terrace to relax & owner kept the beer flowing & even took us out on the town. Breakfast ok. Not luxury but a pretty solid, reliable hostel. Would go back. Good value.
