This hostel is good for solo travellers. Very basic facilities (dorm room only had fans which meant it was very hot at night, bathrooms and showers were outside and were cold water only). However, given how cheap the rooms are, how friendly and awesome the staff are and everything is very homely, worth staying if you are okay with the above!
An excellent hostel for solo travellers. Rooms are clean, air conditioned and beds are made every day. Staff are super friendly and helpful with booking tours and transport. The restaurant serves up delicious local food and the pool is great to unwind at the end of the day. Happy hour from 5-8pm wins the day. Perfect hostel.
Perfect place for solo travellers to meet people. Chilled atmosphere during the day, fantastic common areas for night-time drinking = you can put your own music on and there's beers/snacks in-house. 15 minute walk to the beach, 50m walk to two very nice restaurants. Staff are very friendly, fully equipped kitchen. Cold showers, but it's so hot that the cold shower is nice. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing hostel - great location for clubs, clean, friendliest staff ever, bedrooms are large, beds are comfortable, showers are clean, perfect place for solo travellers looking to meet others. Highly recommended - definitely coming back!
Stayed in the 4 bed ensuite; perfect place to stay for a few days before the Inca Trail. Close to the city centre, San Pedro Markets, room is cleaned and beds made every day, bathroom is cleaned twice a day. Breakfast is standard bread, cereal, tea and coffee, bar is a little bit louder at nights but is manageable. Staff are incredibly helpful, and there is an information centre/booking agency in the lobby for the tours in and around Cusco.
Stayed here for one night. Graham, the American owner, gives you a warm welcome and a fantastic tour around town - worth staying at least one night for. However, it is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Puerto Ayora. There are no lockers in the room, the lock on the room itself is not strong, the common room is shared with a kitchen of a private room (so you can sit but can't use the facilities of the kitchen...) There are similarly priced hostels much closer to the town centre.
After spending a week in Manhattan, this place was the perfect break from the big city. Whilst a little bit away from Williamsburg, it is close to a subway that gets you there in 5-10 minutes and the same subway will get you to Manhattan in 20-minutes. Rooms and bathrooms are super clean, the breakfast is amazing (toast, yoghurt, jams, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and cereal), the staff are really helpful and the communal area is great for solo travellers who want to meet others. Great place!
