Hans Brinker Budget Hotel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The hostel is pretty good, but: The check-out process is ridiculous. Each guest receives a room key, and pays a fee (5 euro) for it, which will be given back at checkout-time. Beautiful! The problem: on Sunday morning there was half-a-hostel checking-out, and somehow the dude on the reception had to check on the system each guest and give the money back. It took us more than 40 minutes to check-out, which itself should not take more than 5 seconds (give key, get money, voilĂ ).

Hi Henrique! Thanks for your review! About the check-out: it can be really busy in weekends during high season. Tip for the next time you're staying at Hans Brinker: relax and drink a coffee or a beer at the bar :)! Greetings, Hans Brinker

Youth Hostel Zagreb

Zagreb, Croatia

The staff was really impolite to a friend of mine who doesn't spoke that much English. Really impatient and unfriendly. Besides that, the hostel is good, but the hint remains: hire another attendant for the main reception. :-)

Boogie Hostel

Wroclaw, Poland

Good staff, Location and all. Recommended.

FIAP Jean Monnet

Paris, France

The only problem were the lack of doors in the bathroom. We had a private 4 person room, with two bathrooms, but none of them had internal doors. Besides that, and the antipathy of the woman helping on the breakfast, everything went great!

Hotel 22 Marzo Milan

Milan, Italy

Everything went great, we even received a bottle of champagne from the receptionist. Great place!

Freedom Traveller

Rome, Italy

The night receptionist was quite rude and I had some problems with my bathroom (was licking water every time someone shower) and their solution was "providing towels" during 4 days. Besides that, everything cool. They serve some bottles of free wine at a public room, and a private bottle was waiting for me at my room. Recommended.

Residenza Santa Croce

Venice, Italy

Never go to this place! The apartment itself was OK, but here's the problem: I booked up in one address 100 meters from the train station, but the apartment was 2 Kilometers, 30 minutes walking from it! And they never said nothing about it! I reached Venice, with quite a lot of luggage and had to walk (since there is nothing to guide you there) and find the place in this messy numeration system that is Venice. Terrible thing to do with a client!

Balmers Herberge

Interlaken, Switzerland

The staff was very friendly, even gave us a great tip about a ride to the top of the mountain, not the usual Jungfrau train. Great stuff. The only thing is that our bedroom was cut in the middle by the roof, so two of the beds were kind of stuck between the floor and the downsizing roof. Anyway, definitely recommended.
