Windsor Inn Hotel

Washington DC, USA

Although we spent only one night in this hotel, we enjoyed it very much! The location is great, within the walking distance to the White House/Mall and two Metro stations(15-20 min). Our double-bed room was furnished in XIX century style, with air-conditioning and private bathroom, clean and safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel serves 'continental' breakfast including coffee/tea, juice/milk and variety of cakes and toasts. So our overall impression is very good. See you again:)!

Hostal Dos Reinos

Barcelona, Spain

We lived in a simple twin room with a sink, all necessary furniture (but old-styled) and a small balcony. The location is good to reach the main city attractions (in the city centre) or take the Metro (the nearest station is 5-10 min walk) and explore the rest. The staff is helpful, speaks English well. “+” Location. “-” No kitchen. The strange hot water supply system - from time to time the water becomes cold and you should wait several minutes until it becomes hot again.

Hostal Machin

Madrid, Spain

The hostel is located in the historical building, 5 min walk from Grand Via Metro station. The location is perfect to explore the city centre on foot, 10-15 min walk from Plaza del Sol, not far away from the Real Palace. There was a part-time receptionist (from 9 a.m. till 10 p.m.). We lived in the twin room with a terrace (but there were no furniture on the terrace). “+” Perfect location, cleanness. “-” There was the first hostel where we had to pay for left-luggage service (2 EUR). No kitchen.

Pension Cibeles

Cordoba, Spain

This accommodation is located in the typical Andalusian house in the historical centre of Cordoba. It’s only 5 min walk to the Mezquita and other tourist attractions. We lived in a clean double-bed room on the first floor with a sink and a small TV (only Spanish channels). The staff was helpful but hardly spoke English. “+” Perfect location. Safety. Cleanness. “-” Difficult to find without a map. No kitchen.

Hostal Generalife

Seville, Spain

This is an old (but well-restored) house near the city centre. We lived in a clean twin room on the first floor with a sink and all necessary furniture. The room and bed linen were clean enough. The reception desk is at the other house (5 min walk). “+” Cleanness. Very close to the Plaza de Armas bus station (10 min walk) - good for Cordoba direction. “-” Quite noise place. We heard some noise (especially the sound of wheels of the travel suitcases) outside all night long. No kitchen.

This hostel is located not far away from the city centre and train/bus station, but you should use a bus to get there (by foot – 30 min). The staff is friendly and helpful, speak English well. “+” Good communal lounge (with couches, tables, PC (Internet) and TV), where you can spend time with your friends. A well-equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances and free olive oil, salt, spices, etc. for cooking. “-“ The gas oven has only one working burner and it's too difficult to switch it on.

Posada Jos Bocanegra

Granada, Spain

This is a typical youth hostel without anything extra. The hostel is close to the city centre (20-30 min walk) and in walking distance to the Alhambra(20 min). You can use bus 33 to get to the train/bus station (the bus stop is in 5 min walk). The staff is friendly and helpful, speak English. Good deal for such sum of money. "+" A good kitchen full of tableware, fridge and ovens(gas and microwave). Several showers (you don’t need to wait) "-" The toilet rooms are too tight for big people.

The City Garden Villa

Siem Reap, Cambodia

It's a nice guest house near the centre of Siem Reap. The staff is friendly but they don't know English very well so it's a bit hard to communicate with them. We had clean room with air conditioning and good breakfast. The guest house offers many services, for example you can order tuk-tuk to visit Angkor or buy bus tickets to Phnom Penh or Bangkok (as we did). And there are many small cafes around where you can try cambodian food and famous Angkor beer.

Hostel Cosmopolitan

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

It's a typical hostel with kitchen, big common room and a lot of interesting things from all over the world. It's located quite near the Monorail station (2 min walk) so you can easy and very quickly reach the city centre and the main places of interest. There are some shops an Indian market near the hostel which make it possible to buy food, drinks and much more even in the late evening. The staff is always ready to help you. And there is a funny and very friendly cat in the hostel :-)!

Luang Prabang, Laos

It's really good and cozy guest house in the centre of Luang Prabang town with magnificent view from the terrace. The staff is kind and helpful. The location is perfect for getting around and reaching all places of interest. The cheep night market is quite near the guest house (5 min walk) and your can easy reach Channuane from the bus station using tuk-tuk.

We stayed in the hostel only two nights but we enjoyed our staying very much. The room was clean and cool (with air conditioner and fan). The location of the hostel is quite near the historical city centre (you can use a realy cheep public bus to get to the Royal Palace and other city attractions) and only 20-25 min walk along the street to the famous Kao San Road. Breakfast was not very rich but worth the money we paid. So the overall impression from the hostel is good.

Hostel Dioklecijan

Split, Croatia

We enjoyed our staying at Diocletian Hostel in Split, it was great! The location is very suitable for exploring the Old town with its all places of interest! Only few minutes from the ancient Diocletian’s Palace and Marmontova street! The staff are friendly and very helpful. The hostel is located in the old Mediterranean building but is very clean, with kitchen, air-conditioning and Internet access!

Saki Guesthouse

Budva, Montenegro

The location wasn't good, too far from the Old town and dificult to find. Upon our arrival we're met by hostess who did't understand English. We're made to wait for Saki for about 3 hours in order to check in. In our room the situation was as follows: 1) there were no hangers in wardrobe; 2) there was no hot water in the shower; 3) out of all the outlets worked only one; 4) our TV had no sound; 5) and the most important thing - there was NO kitchen in this 'hostel'. But the second night was a complete

Jele Rooms

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Our room in Jele Rooms was great! The location is suitable for exploring the Old town, about 20 min away from the hostel! The terrace with tables in front of the rooms is cool for having snack or drink. The owners are fun, friendly and very helpful. We spent in that Rooms only two nights, but it was unforgettable time!
