Walk On The Beach Hostel

Great hostel with really friendly and knowledgable staff. The breakfast was the best free breakfast i had in all of south america and its just a short walk to the beach, bars and restaurants of Copacabana. Main point for improvement would be the mattresses, they weren't my favorite.

Had a lot of fun here, but all the rules are a bit of a joke. for example you aren't allowed in alcohol from outside forcing you to buy drinks from there bar which are inexplicably more expensive than your average restaurant etc in the surrounding neighbourhood. all in all though, i enjoyed my stay, very much a party hostel friday saturday. A few organised events wouldn't go astray though, like a pub crawl etc.

The place had no character and was quite unenjoyable to be in for a second longer than was required for sleeping. I think the other travellers felt the same as it was a ghost town despite being 'booked out'. Not so good when travelling alone! To add to the experience my locker got broken into and my passport, DSLR and laptop were stolen! when i told staff, they quite frankly care. Ive stayed in many a hostel and this would have to be one of the worst! Go to Hostel International!
