The hostel is small and looks and feels more like an appartment with several rooms which serve as 4-bed dormatories. It offers great value for the price and is located perfectly in the old part of town on the Cerro Alegre. However, the rooms' window opens to the cobblestone street which can be very noisy until late in the evening/night. If you're a light sleeper, you might have problems. Also it could be a little bit cleaner, especially in the bathrooms and the latter ones are nothing special.

The hostel is a nice budget option, but one should know that it IS a budget option :-). We had a very small, quite dark room with only a small window to the interior patio. However, I've seen that there are other rooms much more bigger and with real windows - so ask to see the room in advance. In addition, the hostel is quite noisy. One can hear any single conversation of the people in the rooms next door and on the corridor. This was a little annoying during the night and in the very morning.

I stayed one night with my girlfriend in one of the private ensuites with bathroom. The room was simple, but nicely decorated and really cozy for a young couple like us :-). Only the bathroom had experienced a little flooding from a window left open with rain outside and in the morning the appartment in which the room was located was a little noisy. But still, I would recommend that place to any young couple searching for a cheap but still private accomodation while staying in Barcelona.

A very basic accomodation - but very cheap. For the transfer stay of one night with my girlfriend it was OK - especially since there are no other accomodations in Barcelona which offer a private room for that price. The only annoying thing was the noise from the street during the whole night and especially in the very early morning.

Javier rents two rooms in his own apartment. You are sharing their bathroom and kitchen with them. My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the rooms with a simple double bed, some additional furniture and a locker. It was the perfect place for a young couple and very clean. Javier is a very friendly person and we felt quite welcome there. Just one side-note: The appartment does have very low ceilings, so it might not be the adequate place for very tall people...

The hostel really is a nice place to stay in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is clean, secure, and in a good location for exploring the astounding city. The only thing missing in the hostel is a roof-top terrace, balkony, or anything else to enjoy the evenings at fresh air. Once you're in the hostel, you're kind of "locked in" :-).

The hostel was OK, but nothing special. A good place to stay a couple of days while doing sightseeing in London. Nothing to spend a long time in London.

At night it was quite noisy, but this may depend on the room you are assigned to. The ones further back or upstairs may be better.
