Hostelboat Anna Maria II

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The place is just lovely. Very kind staff, good common area, excellent breakfest. Although the bedroons are tiny, the fact that they are double private totally worth it. Well located in a beatiful and nice place. The only bad thing is that they dont have wi-fi facility. In the common area there is a fridge, which is good so you can bring your own food, but there is no where to cook it, if you'll need it.... a microwave would be great and help a lot (just a tip for the staff).

For the price this is a good hostel. Good beds, (simple) breakfest included, staff very kind most of the time. Wi-fi reasonably fast. The location, however, is not good, being very far from the good places. Plus, small and not enough lockers for everyone in the bedroons. You can't bring food at all inside the hostel, few plugs in the bedroons (which few of them you can't use because th bed blocks it) The showers are really tiny!!, except for the one in the 2nd floor, which is ok.

Royal Mile Backpackers

Edinburgh, Scotland

I always consider 3 main points about a hostel: location, reasonably hot showers and price. Royal Mile Backp. has excellent rates on all of them. Plus, they have good kitchen facilities so you can buy and cook your own food, they have (few) free food (bread, oil...), free shampoos. The bedroons are very good, although the main street (Royal Mile) is right there, so you can hear cars and people outside. The wi-fi provided, however, besides free, is kind of slow.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment at our hostelworld site. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would be happy if you tell all your friends about us. We are looking forward to meeting them and having you again. We know that the Wi-Fi isn't always working 100% and are looking into how we can make it better at the moment. Just today we installed a new router :-) Love and save travels the RMB crew

Hostal Forestal

Only some negative points: there is only one shower with a reasonable hot water. The other two are either cold or TOO hot, that you can’t take a shower; the computers are too old, and some keys doesn’t work; they don’t have a fridge where to sell stuff. About the staff, I’d just say that not all of them can tell you what to do as a tourist, don’t have that much information you may expect from them. Overall, our stay was very good. Only the shower inconvenience wasn’t cool.
