Hostel is in a very good location, but the street is noisy until at least 3am. I was in one of the flats around the side of the hostel, you needed a code and two keys to get in, but there are no lockers in the room itself. The facilities were good, two showers and one toilet between four people, but they are slightly run down. Note that the fire alarm is 8.30am on a Monday (why?)! Plan your nights out wisely!

Thank you for your feedback. The alarm has to be done at 8.30am monday morning to coincide with the lawyers office above us. This is the only time we can do it! Sorry but it is for your safety :) Thanks

Breakfast isn't brilliant, but otherwise this is a good hostel. Helpful staff, good bar/lounge which is open late and decent rooms. Easy to meet people in the bar in the evenings if you're travelling alone. Rule 1 of travelling is have a padlock and a towel, apply it here and you'll avoid the 'hidden' charges everyone else is moaning about.

Nice quiet hostel in a good location, just 10 minutes from the train/bus station in one direction and 10 minutes from the city center in the other. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Only negative is that there's not much hot water in the system, so you have to get up early to avoid a cold shower!

Hostel Manga Rosa

Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

Magna Rosa doesn't feel like a Hostel at all, it's more like staying over at a friends house. Joe and Giselle are fantastic hosts, welcoming you into their home. Joe cooked for us twice (amazing BBQ), Giselle drove 3 of us to the Argentine side of the falls one day and took us to the airport when we left, they even let us invite 10 friends round one night. Only drawback is the hostel is pretty far out of town, but with a hostel this friendly you don't need to go out. Thanks J+G, love you guys!

Nice hostel with a very laid back hippie vibe. Breakfast can be taken to the beach which is an awesome start to the day. Only stayed one night but met some fantastic travellers over dinner (very good food cooked by the hostel and at a decent price), would have stayed longer if I could.

Really friendly hostel located two minutes walk from Gloria Metro Station. Plenty of restaurants and banks nearby, and walking distance to Lapa and the city centre. The hostel was really sociable and I went out every day and every night with people I'd met in the hostel. I'd definitely stay here again if I was in Rio.

Small, chilled hostel with great character. Emilie is an amazing host and showed us where to go and what to see in Budapest. It's not a party hostel, but a still very sociable place to stay.
