This is a wonderful hostel, full of character and welcoming staff. Although it's hard to find (I didn't realise it was above the Boleyn Pub), the Tube is within a couple of minutes walk up the road. The first night wasn't too pleasant due to a notorious snorer from a man known only as "The Beaver". Beds were comfortable The Globe Trott has a great lounge area where you can relax and mingle with fellow travellers. Showers are OK if you get the hot water. For the price this is an excellent hostel.
I prefered the layout of this hostel much more than Las Musas, the longue, kitchen and computers were all on the same floor which made it much more social. Also, I found that the people staying at this hostel tended to be more native English speakers so for those that aren't very fluent in Spanish, I'd recommend. Towels are free as well.
Las Musas has a great cosmopolitan atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and talkative, very easy to get along with. They also play some great music. They encourage mixing with others with some drinking games with FREE sangria, and the bar crawl is a must if you want to see some classy bars and meet some other tourists from other hostels. Also the free walking tour is must do. Overall, a great hostel. I'd definitely stay again.
