A very nice hostel, actually more a hotel, in the very heart oft the city. 10 minutes to the railway, 10 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to las ramblas. Staff is friendly, private rooms very nice and almost luxerious for this price. Wifi doesnt run smoothly, but thats not a major issue.

Baccarat Hostel is located rather nicely, very close to the central station and the shopping area. To the beach, it's about 15 minutes by walking. We had a private room (the beds are small in comparison to other European locations) with a balcony, everything was good, even though pretty tight for two people. The city of Nice is really worth visiting, Monaco and Cannes can be reached easily by train. I definitely would recommend a stay, if one doesn't expect too much.

Staying at Bada Hostel is a good suggestion to explore Istanbul. Located rather central (5 min to the Bosporus, 10 min to Galata Tower, 3 tram stations from the old town), I definitely recommend to stay there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mostly bagpackers and young people create a nice, but also busy atmosphere. So, Bada Hostel is more for people looking for parties rather than for a calm vacation.

Being right to the beach, we had a good time in one of the appartments. Actually, these are not appartments, but small houses for up to 4 or 5 people. The houses have a small kitchen and all (or at least almost) kinds of furniture you need for holidays. Staff is friendly, but not everbody is fluent in English. The village of Cropani is like a 10-15 minutes walk, there are all kinds of small shops (including a supermarket). Attention, as almost everywhere in south italy, they are closed midday.
