Great Hostel with awesome staff. the beds are the best i've had so far in ireland super comfortable. Tralee is also the perfect place to do things like the ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula from.

Nice kitchen, but strangly missing an oven, great location, no lockers in rooms (a few very small ones available on ground floor. lots of long term residents too (students) which changes the vibe of the place a bit.

Great hostel with excellent facilities. You can tell it has been built by someone who has been to lots of bad hostels and has fixed all their issues. Would not recommend the breakfast which is provided by a nearby cafe, overpriced and not great.

This is a converted apartment which is clean and in a good location. the facilities are a bit lacking as there is only one shower and one toilet for about 20 people if the hostel is full. the rooms and beds are also quite small. i'm about 6 foot tall and did not fit in the beds (in two different rooms). the bedrooms are also incredibly hot in winter with no windows to be able to open in some rooms. kitchen is well equipped but small. overall an ok place to stay

Great hostel with excellent new facilities including brilliant kitchen. Breakfast was also very good. Would recommend staying here. Booking system was a bit unusual, you book one bed in a dorm but do not know how big the dorm is until you arrive.

Residencia La Cartuja

This "hostel" is really more of a hotel aimed at rowing and kayaking camps. when i was there national teams from all over europe were staying here, which made for a bit of good eye candy (for the guys and gals) as they were all really fit. it is easy to reach by bus but the bus ride can take up to 50 minutes from the centre of town. breakfast was included and was an excellent buffet. the rooms were also very good. the location wasn't great for me but it is a nice quiet, clean place to stay.

Great place to stay in the old town, bit of fun to find as its down a bunch of small walking only alleys, but that just adds to the fun of it all. amazing view of Alumbrah from the kitchen and some rooms. would highly recommend staying here as the staff were great and the free walking tour was excellent, despite the rain.

Amazing Hostel Arequipa

Arequipa, Peru

Great Hostel, Alex is an awesome guy who is very helpful, and the free pancake breakfast is brilliant. The tours of the Colca Cannon that can be booked through the hostel are great. Roy is an awesome guide with excellent knowledge of the cannon and a great sense of humour. ask for the longer 3 day walk which costs a bit more but gives you heaps more walking each day. our walk with Roy was like a fruit tour of the cannon, all sorts of great local fruits i'd never seen before.

A good place to stay in a good location. A few to many strict rules ("if you wash clothes in the bathroom you will be removed from the hostel" sort of thing). The rooms are all very small and the beds short are not comfortable if you are 6 foot or taller.

unhelpful staff, offered rooms on hostelworld that did not exist at the hostel. hostel is a run down old hotel a fair way from the centre of town. lock to the door did not work, no lockers in rooms - one small safe for 6 people to share that was broken anyway. stay somewhere else in town. this was the worst place i stayed in in 3 months in south america.

I booked a 4 bed room (for four people) and was put on a 6 after being told that the 4 bed room does not exist and it is a problem with Hostel world. Speaking to other people in the Hostel they were in a four bed room so the staff will lie to you rather than admit they messed up. The building is not will maintained especially the bathrooms. There are no lockers in rooms despite the claims. Stay somewhere else. This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in.

Tommy and willy are awesome. This hostel is very good although it is a long way from the main bus depot. If arriving from for make sure you change money before going to Argentina as there is no money change or ATM at the bus stop.
