They advertised breakfast provided but you get no milk - when asking - we were told "buy your own milk", yet cornflakes were provided. Coffee brewed once, if it runs out - that's it until the following breakfast. This is not good enough.

What a great location, and a lovely new hostel - lovely staff. But - breakfast was deficient - one pot of coffee is not enough for everyone, very little milk, one bowl of cereal then nothing on following mornings, only sugar based spreads / toppings, no butter - if these were attended to everything would be great.

Great hostel, good location, quiet, good breakfast; helpful staff. Only issue is wifi - for such a large organisation to have wifi NOT working for such long periods of time is not good enough - you advertise free wifi - but do not uphold your part of the contract with your clients.

Good hostel, right in the middle of Delft. Staff friendly and helpful. Hostel needs some basic maintenance attended to - bathroom door difficult to open and close, and didn't like having to put my hand down into the cistern to flush the toilet. Sometimes difficult to open security locks too.

Location was excellent for train / bus and city. Hostel was clean, secure and spacious with many areas to relax. It would have been nice to have one of these as a quiet space. The only downside was the "colorful' back street - with the girls of the night - but don't all cities have them.

This hostel was the poor cousin of the hotel across the big car park, where you had to check in. It was clean and quiet, and beds were comfortable, but there are no staff on site and it felt 'cold'. The cost of a purchased breakfast is too high for a budget hostel. The biggest factor against this hostel is it's location - three suburbs out from the city centre means you are paying lots for transport Be prepared to hire the saucepans - not normal for a hostel.

Hostel was clean, breakfast great. Lots of room to relax in if you want. If you are in the older age group - specifically ask for a bottom bunk - the ladder rungs are too far apart, and the ladder is on the wall, not the bed - so it's difficult to get into the bed -- easy for children to do. Ended up putting mattress on the floor !!

New dorms were very good, but one toilet per floor is not enough, particularly as it is in the room with one of two showers per floor..It should be a much better hostel when all the renovations are complete - hope that staircase will be replaced.

Clean hostel, great location, good breakfast. Two toilets and two showers for all is not enough. Triple bunks in dorms - meant having to sleep with the backpack- no where to put it - bottom bunk 5cm from the floor if lucky- too many people in one room.

Generally speaking this is a good hostel - but it would be better if the cooker in the kitchen was easier to light, and if there were handles on the inside of toilet and shower doors so that one didn't have to call out to others to push the door open so as to get out. Very close to Cork centre.

Kinlay House Cork

This hostel is generally a good one but could be better - if some simple maintenance was carried out. The stove in the kitchen is difficult to use because all the knobs for the burners are missing. Some showers could not be used - light bulbs were gone and locks broken, as were some toilets. All showers and toilets doors were very solid and open in - but there were NO handles to open the doors - so shouting out for help was the only way to get out. The breakfast staff- very good.

In over 25 years of backpacking we have never seen a place as filthy as this one. In the time we were there the 'ensuite' to the dorm was not cleaned, never had toilet paper and stank. Thank goodness there were a couple of other showers and toilets we could use, but they certainly were not being cleaned every half hour as notices tried to suggest. The kitchen could do with a really good scrub - we couldn't use it. ugh Not recommending at all!!!

Hostel in good location - however staff were not very helpful, and only 'friendly' at checkin. When wishing to extent stay, they wanted 10 euros more per night for the same room - which was very ordinary with just a bed and very poor fitting sheets. Had to ask for towels which were supposed to be in the deal, felt they weren't rinsed properly - soap dust came out of them. Not on my recommend list.

for a backpacker this place is an hours walk from town, no easy access to shops for food, or anything. Also wanted a full payment without hostelworld deposit being deducted. Advertised as hotel with ensuite - ensuite had no shower. Also advertised as hotel on back of big building on the hill --- big building is aged care hospital -- hotel is at back -- just some unused wings of hospital converted. Signage to get to hotel entrance very poor. Would not recommend to backbackers on a tight budget.
