I've stayed in over 1000 hostels world wide and this is in the top 10%. Good value for city centre location. Secure parking was a GOD SEND with us all travelling on motorcycles. Breakfast is good and plentiful and you can eat up to 11am which is AFTER checkout. Handy !! My only negative is the showers and toilets are dated and there is nowhere to put your clothes or a place to change when showing. Not even a bench or chair. SORT IT OUT . It's ridiculous

Very busy.Very much a cash generating machine. EVERYTHING here is 2-3 times more expensive than other vendors. Tours, food, beers etc. A guy staying in my dorm LITERALLY got 3rd degree burns and had to be be hospitalised from the BOILING shower water. Stripped his foot clean of skin. No warning signs etc Cost him $100 in hospital fees and ruined his whole trip. Staff didn't care at all and just asked for him to pay his room bill. In this hostel, you're a number. Not a guest.

Great WiFi, free breakfast was okay. Eggs, eggs or eggs. Beds were rock hard though but big lockers and bed lamps were welcome. Only two toilets for 50 people and one was constantly backed up. Apart from that, it was a comfortable two night stay.

The best thing about this hostel is the hidden back garden chill out area. Hammocks, mattresses etc. And you are free to 'smoke' ;) Secondly they also have a good restaurant which is one of the cheapest in town. (All food in Vang Vieng is dear).. I had a dorm which was cramped and we all had to share a key meaning security wasnt great. Dorms also have no lockers but you can use one inside. Wifi is useless as soon as everyone is awake and using it but there are two PCs which work great.

Big hostel with many beds and rooms. Private compound makes it secure with plenty of chill out areas. The size also can make it hard to meet people as its not 'cosey' like smaller hostels. Still, its okay if you aren't shy. Location is perfect. Close to everything. Free breakfast is very good too. Only complaint is the WiFi is totally useless. Internet cafes are 10 min walk away on main street.

Best place in Chiang Mai by far. Aree, the owner makes the place. Nice little restaurants on the same street. 10 min walk from Thaipai gate..

Great great place. Arse, the owner who is always at her desk in the communal area is the life and soul. She is wonderful. She will help you with everytbing and anything. Location wise, its 5-10 min easy walk to Thaipai gate and the old city. On the same street there are really good and cheap places to eat. Its not a party hostel. No crazy loud music for no reason.

Excellent Central location for all the bars, restaurants, duvey schools etc. There is NO social area though but that just doesn't matter as everyone just sits on the front steps. This hostel is owned by Davy Jones's Locker dive school who's bar/restaurant/hangout is literally 5 seconds walk down the road. Beds are good, air con works but the toilets are a bit stinky and the showers sometimes are only cold and the locks don't always work.. I met great people here and the staff are VERY cool.

This place isn't a hostel... It's a hotel. The only communal place is on the roof terrace where they serve breakfast. You will have it all to yourself to be sure. The place is populated with couples on holiday. We had a double room and it was very clean and comfortable. Everything was to a very high standard and it was cleaned daily. The WIFI is very hit and miss though and you can only get a signal if you sit in the stairwell. Breakfast is very good. No cooking facilities.

A very basic hostel. The room was very drab but the bathroom was clean and worked well. We had a double bed and it was broken and very uncomfortable leading to a sleepless night.

I liked this hostel. It is one of the cheapest places to stay in Vancouver but It's not a dump at all. The rooms and beds are very clean and comfortable. My only gripe is that the cooking facilities are VERY basic at best. A kettle, toaster and a microwave stuffed at the back of a corridor. They have a TV room which is more like a 3rd world doctors waiting room with a TV so high on the wall you can't watch it. Still, it serves it's purpose well and I would recommend it.
