Sultan Hostel

It was great for a short visit, not too uncomfortable and nice people, even being in the large mixed dormitory was relaxing enough for a great fist few days in the city. It is a good way to see the area for a newcomer because the location is spot-on.

I felt that the staff were doing a good job and the facilities and the atmosphere were entirely right for the very old- fashioned and expensive London residential setting. I was pleasantly suprised that YHA have a hostel in Bolton Gardens and the massively high ceiling in the sitting room and the big windows looking out into the street made me sure I had made the right choice choosing this one to stay in. there was an OK cafe nearby and excellent Greek and Lebanese restaurants too. Well done!

There is always charming character here and a modern economical comfort surrounds you here in every way. The staff are most welcoming and go out of their way to create a relaxing atmosphere . The pressure of work and life is immediately relieved by the sense of humour and emotional intelligance of everyone else around you , it should stay where it is as a hostel for a thousand years.

Little Wing Hostel

This little jem has more character than all the rest of the hostels I have been to put together : plus it has a great vibe from being tucked into a nice little niche in the prime area of Tunel , on the start of the tram and shopping , bars and cafe street leading all the way up to Taksim Square itself. Treat yourself , as I did , before you commence a longer stay in one of the other more ordinary hosels in this teriffic location in Istanbul. The staff- owners are amazing people and will cook your breakfast
