Free breakfast was great - staff was friendly, but went a couple of days without soap in the bathroom. It's close quarters but the location is excellent! (Just be sure to bring ear plugs, the street is pretty noisy).

Excellent stay at St. Christopher's - it's a little different because of the bar/restaurant attached, makes it hard to really meet other travelers, but it's really nice free breakfast and a discount at the bar. Clean, friendly, and within walking distance to some really great spots.

Such a home-y feel, great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. Had a lot of fun staying there, and excellent breakfasts!

Had an excellent stay, until the british invasion and we were asked to switch rooms on our last night to accommodate the addition of friends to a large group staying there- sort of an annoying and unprofessional inconvenience on the part of the hostel. Otherwise a great stay.

I couldn't believe they could fit that many people in one room without fans, AC, or even a window. Got really warm at night, and a disproportional amount of families with children were staying there during our stay, made it hard to get to know other travelers, but free breakfast in the morning was nice.

Thank you for your review. We have different types of dormitories to suit different types of travellers depending on their budget. We offer a cheap and competitive accommodation at very good location. We are sorry for the heat in the room but we are located in a listed building and it is impossible to install air con. Hope to see you again :) HPI Staff

Breakfast every morning was great, the staff was very helpful, and the location could not have been better! The bathroom got a little crowded sometimes as there were only 3 toilets and 1 sink but really a great place to stay.

The bar and hangout area was fantastic - it was nice to be able to come back and still hang out without disturbing people in the rooms. There was only one bathroom which wasn't actually too much of a problem. Breakfast in the morning was simple but delicious. Basically all around the atmosphere was great and the location was right in the middle of everything you'd want to wander around and see.

What I imagine hostels to be like, very large, not the cleanest but not dirty, can accommodate a lot of people.
