This place is without a doubt the best place to stay while in New Orleans. Quick trip on the streetcar to the French Quarter and all the places you might want to go while staying. The outdoor areas are great, with a cheap breakfast option where you can get eggs or anything else you might want. My only fault with this place is that there doesn't seem to be quite enough bathrooms in the main house, but that was hardly an issue. If you're not staying at India House in NOLA then you should leave.

Glacier House

Fairbanks, USA

Nice woman who owns the place, very very small hostel. I felt welcome enough but it was so dirty. Apparently the carpets are due to be replaced. I could tell that from the moment I stepped down the stairs into the basement "bunker" style room. It would be good if you are a middle aged man wanted to live there for the Winter. I would NOT recommend it to women. The bathroom is shared between 8 people. Beds are comfy though.
