A great hostel right in the center of Timisoara, Raul (the owner) was great both in making us feel at home and introducing his city to us. If I am passing by that area again, I would gladly stay at the Freeborn again.
Great hostel away from the crowds, and yet only 15 mins from the historical center of Prague. Lots of pubs around, the subway is close, the hostel itself is clean and easy to find. The staff were very helpful and the only downside was that Wi-Fi was almost constantly down during our stay (a bit irritating, but this is really the only negative thing, I recommend this hostel!). Great value for money! If you are arriving by car, the hostel is very well connected with the P&R Chodov (by metro)
The hostel is away from the center and it was initially a bit hard to find. The price includes a tax which is basically more than the price of the bed, and you get to understand this in the last moment, but the hostel is still worth the money. At night your best option is to get back by taxi. The rooms were clean and very secure, and there is a big parking lot, if you are arriving by car as we did. Overall a very good hostel.
Right next to the city center, this hostel is actually a house an English couple owns, the upper floor serving as a hostel. One of the cleanest hostels I've been to, with a good kitchen, and very close to the main attractions, Balkan hostel is a great place to stay, if you are visiting Ruse.
Great hostel, right in the middle of Brasov, with very helpful staff. The only downside is if you are travelling with a car, parking space around is a bit scarce, but for a regular backpacker, this place is great!
One of the best hostels I have been, the location is just outlide the central station, close to the bus station, close to all the places worth seeing. Ricardo, the owner, is a great host, and Celina made sure the guests had a nice walk around the old town. Very clean, very nice, a perfect place to stay in Faro.
A great place! Clean, secure, staff are very nice and helpful, it is located in the historical district of Graca, close to the castle and Pantheo, and 15 mins from Praca de Commerco, full of nice people, a place I will visit again should I re-visit Lisboa! Nice kitchen and very clean bathrooms.
The hostel was very good, and the staff was more than helpful, especially Diana. The porto wine testings are a great experience, and the hostel is right in the center of Porto, some 3 minutes to the central station. The only drawback was that the bathroom was really dirty, and the room I was in had no windows, so the air was suffocating. On the other hand many bars and restaurants are nearby, so overall this is a great place.
The location is very far away from the center with the buses terminating at 8 pm. The guy at the reception (Sergio if I am not wrong) was trying to be as sour and unhelpful as possible, and did not provide too much information about the hostel's vicinity or facilities. The hostel itself is located in an amazing place, provided you have a car, you could have a great time.
The hostel was great, and the owners (Kostas and Dimitra) strive to make everyone's stay a great experience. Rooms and bath were clean, only the location is a bit hard to find, if you're on foot. Very nice hostel, will visit again!
Great hostel, this is theirs first year in Bitola (Shanti is Skopje hostel chain), and they are doing really great! Clean, cheap (prices, not quality :) ) easily reached from the center, helpful staff - really a top choice for Bitola. If I visit Skopje, this will be my choice as well.
Great hostel, a bit hard to reach by car, but perfect for backpackers arriving by bus/train. The hostel was very good, the only problem we had was with the hot water on the second floor, but other than that everything was fine. The hostel is located near the main pedestrian street, and in the heart of the old town, so it is very easy to reach any place of interest.
This is basically a room in a house being rented to travelers. The host is very friendly and helpful, you have access to the kitchen and anything you may require. Kocani does not have a lot to offer (tourist-wise), so if you are stranded there and need to spend the night - this is the place I would recommend.
Hostel was great, Isabelle was a great receptionist and bartender! Rooms were clean, location was very good, nothing to complain about.
The hostel is clean and located very near to Piccadilly and the Shudehill Interchange stations, the bathrooms are not on every floor, and the lockers are only on the 1st floor. Otherwise the staff are very friendly, the lobby is nice (the pool table was a pleasant surprise). Very good experience overall.
Great location, staff were more than helpful at all times, the hostel itself was clean and the baths and other facilities - OK (the kitchen is a bit small). The mornings are a bit noisy, but that is true for any hostel on the Royal Mile, so the hostel can hardly be blamed :)
Excellent location (right next to Nyugati, and really close to the Parliament), very nice building, good facilities, clean rooms, helpful staff... I am going back to Budapest in a month, and I will choose this hostel again, the stay was really great! Keep in mind there is a night tram passing nearby - this is comfortable for a night walk, but can also be noisy especially in the early morning.
Staff are very helpful with everything, my room was clean and comfortable. You need to bring your own padlock for the lockers in the room, and the hostel does not sell them. Location is good, 15 minutes walk to the station, and right in the heart of the old city, but the hostel is not well marked, so it is a bit easy to miss. Kitchen was very well equipped.
It's more a hotel than a hostel really, very cosy and clean, and there is a bar at the reception, really good place to stay. This is the second AO Hostel I am visiting, and my impressions are very very good, I will visit again.
It's a hotel really. Big, nice and clean. Breakfast for 4 euro is really worth it.
The hostel is located centrally, just a doorway away from the Red Lights Cabins. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are not very comfortable, the beds as well. The bathrooms on the other hand are very clean, but are located far away from some of the rooms.
Some distance away from the central station, but the hostel was really cool, clean, secure, friendly staff, definitely worth a stay
A bit away from the central station, otherwise a good hostel, nothing special, but a nice place to spend a night in Eindhoven if you need to
The Viru hostel is actually a separate building from the Tallinn Backpackers, and it does not have any bar. But the 2 hostels are "sister hostels", so you can drop in if you want to have fun. The Viru hostel was great, located in the heart of the old city, well secured, clean and calm.
There are no wardrobes in the rooms, but everything else was great, the staff, the location, security is OK, hostel was nice and clean. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly as well, definitely stay in the NSH!
Great location, only recommendation is to add more power sockets (currently there are none in the rooms)
Although the hostel claims they have security lockers, you need to bring your own padlock, and no one tells you this in advance! The rooms are far from clean, but the bathrooms and toilets are way better than in other hostels I have slept. The location is perfect - literally 30 m. away from the bus station.
The person on the from desk managed to lose our baggage (later he found it, thanks god!), the sheets were wet, the rooms could not be locked, our reservation was mistaken! Extremely poor hostel!
