Istanbul Hostel

Istanbul, Turkey

Hostel was perfect, no problems at all. Paco and Yusuf were excellent hosts. The terrace was beautiful both for breakfast (great) in the morning and drinks in the evening. A very mixed group of guests made for good conversations. Extremely conveniently located. Definitely a great choice!

not a very fun and traditionally "hostel" atmosphere, very big, but distanced more hotel-like vibe. they make you pay for pretty much everything: breakfast, wifi, etc. the staff was not exciting.

Magnolia Porto Hostel

Porto, Portugal

I've stayed at many hostels in four continents--this was the best one I've seen yet. The place is huge, clean, with great amenities and a relaxed vibe. The staff fit the place perfectly, easily the most friendly, sincere and helpful I've encountered.

Hotel Cecil

Marrakech, Morocco

Great location on the Djeema square, but tucked back just a bit to avoid excessive noise. Room was small but with character and did its job. They're doing renovations now and I imagine they'll be beautiful when finished. Breakfast is the highlight, served on the terrace and consisting of mint tea, orange juice, warm milk, crossaints, bread, jam, butter, etc. Looked forward to it every morning. Good value overall.

Aloha Hostel

Paris, France

Where do I start...terrible place, bad location, full of 16 year olds, my room was double booked, freezing at night, staff is rude, breakfast is a joke, computers are obnoxious...basically it feels like a nasty frat house. Look elsewhere.

Nega Maluca Guesthouse

Salvador, Brazil

This place was great! Best hostel I've stayed in, can't put my finger on why, but it was just amazing! The staff was incredible and you literally felt like you were at home right away. The vibe is simply perfect. Great place, as long as you're okay with being in Pelourinho.
