Very tidy place. Very big breakfast available to guests. The weather meant we weren't really able to take advantage of the rooftop "party" area but I imagine it would be a great place to hang out in warmer climes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were excellently clean, modern, furnished and appointed, the best I've seen in a hostel. Location is the only downer - it takes a bit of a walk to get anywhere except Little Italy or Chinatown. Otherwise, a great place to stay.
Top location just near Times Square & is clean & safe. Other than that, not much going for it. Rooms are expensive because it's NYC, but they are tiny. Not a good culture - there's the downstairs bar and that's it, no other activities which are easily available to guests. Computers are hot&cold and you aren't allowed to use USB ports or print - quite poor for a travellers' hostel really. Staff friendly, polite. Overall, struggles to get a pass mark - great location may just get it over the line.
Pretty good place, about a 20 minute walk from everything there is to see and do in Washington DC. Lots of rules around the hostel but nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty good common facilities, rooms were tidy and well-maintained, and the place seemed to attract quality travellers. Friendly and helpful staff across the board, which is always a good start. Well worth the money and yep I would stay there again.
This place was advertised for $11 p/n. It didn't include taxes or a compulsory safe fee, so more like $17 p/n. Price is from the 60s which is coincidentally when the plumbing, electricity and bed linen were last inspected. Very poor, even worse than what you would expect for $17 p/n place. Staff - seemed like it was too much trouble to help you out with anything. Shuttle service poor and inefficient. Would not recommend to anyone at all. Only redeeming feature is its location near TGI Friday's.
