guy along with his family whom owns the hostel is pretty cool. i think it was somebody's residence that they turned into a hostel. it is kind of hard to find as there is no sign and no indication that it is a hostel. looks like a house. rooms are clean but the bathroom/kitchen/living room can be dirty. the family eats there and just leaves their dishes around. the location is good, near the beach but far away from the attractions. not a problem as a taxi is only about $5 to get into town
one of the best hostels that we have stayed at. the thing that is good here is the staff. they make sure that you have a great stay there. food at the restaurant is good, pool is clean, rooms clean. we really liked that everything closes at midnight there. this could easily be a party hostel but its not. the only thing that we would recommend is the luggage storage. if possible, dont leave your stuff there as the room is extremely small and hard to find anything! overall, highly recommended!
everything here was excellent! good place to stay with a supermarket nearby as well as a few restaurants. lockers were on the small side. we would highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming to medellin!
located in the mountains outside of cali, this hostel is a great break from the city. it has archery, zip-lining (free!) as well as a farm on the property. 4 horses roam freely as well as 3-4 dogs, a peacock, donkey and birds. the restaurant is excellent. rooms good as well, clean. dont camp, there are horses that can go anywhere on the property. excellent views, good staff, quiet. great place to do some hikes and explore the mountains around. we would highly recommend this great place!
second time staying here! second experience just as good as the first! highly recommend.
good family run hostel close to the bus line and historic area. owner and wife are very nice as well as their daughter whom helps as well. fast wifi, good area for dining with a comfortable couch. hostel is safe as their doors are locked 24 hours a day (which is my only complaint, having to ring the doorbell every time i want to exit or enter the hostel) but besides that, no qualms/complaints. we could not believe the value of the hostel as well. the rooms/bathrooms are clean. recommended!
Kevin (the owner) is the best! by far the best host that we could have asked for. very helpful, informative and funny as well. helped us out with everything that we needed done in the galapagos. only downside is the distance from the city to the hostel. only a $1 taxi ride though. would highly recommend it.
the location was good, only a few minutes from the airport. staff was very unhelpful. we asked for help arranging something to the galapagos by one of the owners from oregon (?) but was told 2x that they were busy with other clients, even though there no other clients there. when they did make time for us, he came just short of laughing at the questions that we had and made us feel kind of stupid. kitchen was good, internet was good, clean rooms. everything else was fine.
good hostel. only complaint was that our room was right next to the bar/swimming pool and does not have any window...kind of hard to sleep at night! besides that, everything was fine.
great hostel 10 minute walk to the city centre. the staff was very nice. typical breakfast of bread with jam/butter. good atmosphere, good rooms. would recommend to a friend.
absolutely amazing hostel! instead of the usual bread and jam for breakfast, they make eggs for you along with juice, coffee and other things. the owners are all very helpful and nice. 5 minute walk to plaza de armas. facilities are secure. their dog is great and welcoming as well. would highly recommend them to anyone visiting cusco!
very thin walls, i could hear pretty much everything that was going on in the next room over. good breakfast, helpful staff and a great location! would recommend!
great hostel close to the main square. very secure as you have to have a key to enter as we think the hostal is an extension of the owner's house. they don't speak any english so some basic spanish would be helpful. the only complaint that i would have is that the internet can be choppy. would highly and definitely recommend!
very close to the metro, only one block away. the owner was very nice and hospitable. helped us find a place to get a yellow fever vaccination for bolivia. we would highly recommend this hostel!
German is fantastic. he was able to help us out with whatever we needed. the mom can seem kind of irritable if you ask her questions. the location is a little bit out of town but not too far. if you're walking down las rosas avenue/street and you start to walk on dirt, you have gone too far. there is no sign to indicate that there is a hostel, the only sign is on the hostel itself. the view and terrace are absolutely amazing with views of the volcano from our room. would highly recommend!
our stay here was fabulous! the owner and her family make this a very personable hostel. we went trekking in the torres del paine and left our things here. without any warning, we showed up at 11PM and she greeted us and gave us a big hug! it is kind of a far walk from town but well worth it. she makes you breakfast every morning and cleans the entire house every day. highly recommended!
great place to meet people and hang out, good dorms, good atmosphere, all around a great hostel, we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting ushuaia!
golden mango could easily be considered by many as a 3-4 star hotel. staff is incredibly helpful and nice. great free breakfast, fast free internet, all around, PERFECT. all ammenities are found here that you would expect to find in a good hotel. i took my mom, aunt and uncle to siem reap to visit angkor wat. they are all in their late 60's and were blown away by the quality of both the room and the service there! they have stayed at many 5 star hotels and were just astounded at the quality of the hot
