Standard hostel. It's above a bar so it's a little loud.

"Party vibe" was intense, so if you are looking to sleep it isn't the best choice. Good location as it was right behind the main bus station but a good 10-15 minutes walk from the old city center.

Great location, right on Main Street, but still quiet. Excellent hot breakfast, friendly staff. Comfy beds and decent bathroom facilities.

Lockers in rooms. Located right by the river so lots of spiders inside. Quiet, pretty area, in the center of Doolin.

Very friendly owners, good breakfast, located just across from the Shrine. A ways walk from the road itself, so it was very quiet. Clean, newly furbished room and bathroom.

The beds in our room were very unstable; thin wood slats holding up the mattress were very inadequate. Shower lacked a curtain or any ledges, so it was not protected at all and made the bathroom floor very slippery. The staff member checking us in barely said a word and was not friendly or explanatory. Even when we asked questions he was reluctant to say anything to us. Sheets were also dirty/stained. Disappointing stay but the room was quiet; also large common room areas.

Amazing location basically right beside Edinburgh castle. Good staff, good size rooms, lockers, secure and fairly quiet.

Great rooms, very quiet and good neighborhood. Quite a long walk from the train station/city center, but it was a great hostel and worth the walk. Great pay breakfast in the morning--good price for lots of food.

Building could use a refurbishing. Not quite enough shower rooms. Pretty good free breakfast, friendly staff, lots of common areas. Busy street but it was fairly close to the underground station.

Long, challenging walk from the rail station and bus stations. Gorgeous location in terms of scenery. Uphill walk to the old town. Clean, new looking rooms.

Rooms were very small, bathroom even smaller. Staff very helpful. In a very nice neighborhood but quite a walk to the nearest Metro station. Security wasn't great--no lockers and could walk right in.

Very, very loud area and not the safest neighborhood at all. Close to train and Metro station. Brand new building so it was very clean and good facilities.

MacDonald Hotel

Good breakfast. Very pricey hotel for what you get--small bathroom, in need of an overhaul, not a very safe location. Says it was a hotel but got there and said it was a B and B.

The people who ran this hostel were super friendly and so helpful. I could only stay one night, got in late and checked out early- but they both still treated me like I was staying for a month, giving me all the information on the Causeway and buses and trains. Clean rooms, good location, great city, cute hostel.
