Convenient stay in Melk. Despite I booked a dorm bed, the hostel gave me a private room. So, lockers are not needed. Wifi works fine. Walking distance to downtown and to the Stift.
excellently located right in the center of Bad Ischl. The only slight downside is the missing locker.
The hosts decorated the lounges in a maritime style with seaview. It is wonderfull to sit on the veranda and just think about the beauty of the world. The rooms are equipped with lockers, beds and a table. The downsides are only the missing soap in the showers and the limited wifi connection. In total a welltreated stay at an affordable price.
Newton Lodge is a nice place to stay on the southern edge of downtown Auckland. The staff supports all needs and cleans all the mess after a party night in the common room. On the other hand the staff failed to fullfill the 7th night discount. The services include a self service kitchen, free wifi and hot showers all day long. In addition the hostel contains an interesting mix of longstay guests and backpackers.
Sakura is good located in Asakusa district. A spacious lobby gives everybody the option to meet others or work. Every bed is equipped with a privacy curtain and a locker. On the other hand, the only opening to outside is a door; it means refreshjng the air inside is not possible all the time - inconvenient smell. Conclusively Sakura is a reasonable hostel to stay and enjoy the stay.
Kosuke san ist a warmhearted host; with all his passion he transforms s stay to a wonderful treatment. And he knows almost everything, where and how to go and what to do there. The dorm provides plenty of space for everybody - unusual for japanese hostels, and a fully eqipped kitchen for basic cookings. The rooftop terrace offers wide panoramic views over the city, but could be a bit more advanced. ML hostel is good for travellers, who like a warm welcome and a not so fancy atmosphere.
Jam hostel is very good located in Gion, has access to several bus and two railway lines. Going around is quite simple. The hostel stuff helps with information about Kyoto. Also the Sake Bar downstairs offers a wide variety of sakes from all over Japan - a special treatment for gourmets. The only negative point is the lack of storage space inside the dorms for big luggage. All others are fine or better: shower, every bed is eqipped with outlet and reading light, free wifi, hot drinks.
5 Elements is located between Central Station and downtown right in the middle of red light district. No worries, nobody will bother You. Rooms provide a quiet atmosphere at night and a basic, but comfy style including pictures and lamps in an asian style. Spacious lockers. The only point, not always suitable to backpackers is the pricy policy for drinks inside the bar. However, in total it was a satisfying stay in downtown Frankfurt. Plenty of guests use 5 Elemets as an stopover stay to/from t
The hostel is located at the eastern outskirts of Hamburg; to downtown it takes 10 min walk and 10-15 min subway. It is a typical membership hostel with an excellent breakfast and functional dorms und meeting rooms. Helpfull und knowledgeable supports the staff the travellers' needs. Conclusively suitable for families and groups of mixed ages.
The hostel provides several refuge areas for relaxing, talking, electronic entertainment etc. and every day are special events on schedule. The stuff is doing exceptionell in helpfull information, efficient services and keep the hostel running. Just a few blocks from all major sights the location allows walks to them and bus/metro services are right behind the next corner.
Beat Hostel is located close to Keleti Pu (Central Train Station) and even closer to the Metro. The hostel provides two dorms (each with bathroom) and a self-service-kitchen in the 2nd floor of a residential building. Around the neighbourhood are plenty of ethnic food stalls (chinese, arabic, turkish, italian etc).
Minoo Hostel is located in walking distance to downtown and metro. It's an 2-storey old building with a green backyard (used as a beer garden). The stuff is very helpfull with information and inhouse services, e.g. breakfast or laundry (extra charge). As long as the facilities work properly every stay provides a high level of hospitality. The only critical point is the limited sitting/ living capacity indoor (during summer not a problem at all).
The hostel is located in an inner yard of a residential area not far from the main train station and about 10-15 min walk to downtown (or bus/tram). 2 dorms and 2 doubles indicate the privacy of this hostel. On the other hand there is only one bathroom (toilet, shower and lavatory inside) - not enough for full occupancy, and not enough whenever the hostel is overbooked by far. The stuff depends on who is on duty: sometimes excellent, sometimes nothing to talk home about it.
The hostel is located in the middle of Vientianes Downtown. Around the area plenty of restaurants provide food targeting guests from worldwide. The international atmosphere brings a lot of experience and information into the house. Well, the (free) alcohol offers at night result sometimes in some disgusting side effects inside the dorms.
Hostel Chocolate is perfectly located in Bogota's oldtown, just a couple of minutes from Plaza Bolivar, Museo del Oro and other places of interest. Most of the guests are international backpackers, who can enjoy the two yards inside the hostel. Adriana and her stuff are doing their best to make the stay as cosy as possible. In winter time the nights in Bogota are cold. The hostel is not equipped with heaters; blankets help a little, and the electric showers provide hot water - more or less.
Jetpak Alternative is the best hostel I ever spent in. The rooms are highly equipment with reading light and outlet at every bed. Bathrooms have rain showers as luxury hotels have, and the hall is decorated with shining white pebbles. A wonderfull treatment for all senses and practical use. The owner loves good food, so the coffee and brakfast are creamy and delicious. In the neighbourhood offer plenty of multiethnic restaurants and shops a great variety of cheap food. Thank You to the stuff.
Travellers in Palermo have not much options to book a hostel. Casa di Amici failed to provide a state of the art level in hostelling: two bathrooms (toilet + shower in the same room) only. The biggest concern is about safety. No lockers. Somebody grabbed in my luggage. In general the hostel has potential to be a good one, but now everybody should be extremely carefull. Location inside Palermo is excellent, stuff is ok, but concerns in other issues are still there.
A young team runs the hostel and provides wonderfull services to all guests. Whenever Catania soccer team-match is in TV, the lobby is crowded and celebrates the match. Rooms offer enough space, a comfy bed, lockers, and the bathroom facilities are in a good condition. Breakfast contains Sicilian dishes: a bit sweet, a bit rough. Just WiFi-Connection doesn't work properly; slow, interrupted. Conclusion: Excellent value für the money and a nice experience. Recommended.
The hostel is perfectly located just a few minutes walk to the train station and airport link (tram), and into the oldtown as well. Everybody will get a good shape after climbing the stairs up and down to/ from the forth floor. Stuff welcomes all guests in a comfortable lobby with widely equipped self-service-kitchen and an airy roof terrace. Breakfast is a bit basic, but, anyway, a sweet start in the day. Reasonable number of showers and toilets, book board.
Best of Palace is the location in the heart of Amman and in walking distance to all major heritage-sights, traditional shops and restaurants. The rooms provide basic comfort, but enough for a reasonable budget stay (balcony, WiFi-access, hot water). Basic Breakfast is included and served inside smoking-permitted-lobby with cosy couches and arabic TV-channels.
The Jetpak EcoLodge is like a green oasis in a busy city: surrounded by a huge forest and several lakes, a perfect place to relax. Stuff knows, what travellers want, and provides all demanded services. 10 minutes walk to closest busstop.
The Bubble is a cosy, small hostel in Budapest's Downtown opposite the National Museum. The Manager Olga and Gabor help all guests in arranging daily schedule, transfers etc. With just 16 spaces the atmosphere is familiar and safe. Guests are welcome to use the self-service-kitchen or can relax in the park nearby. On the other hand inside the hostel is not enough area for indoor activities, e.g. in case of rain.
The hostel stuff welcomes the guests warmly. The big eye-catcher is the covered inner yard of the two connected buildings; amazing.
The hostel is able to create a cosy atmosphere for all guests.
The hostel is excellently located at the Weser-banks in historic downtown. The modern building provides state of the art comfort in rooms and common area. But the stuff failed to accept the hostelworld downpayment.
very nice and helpfull stuff. The hostel is a global meetingpoint to share experiences and trip reports. By the way: it is not necessary to run the TV in the common room all the day.
The stuff is doing a good job. All guys know, what travellers need, they are helpfull and provide every day a special activity. Despite the huge number of guests the HI-hostel is a cosy place in DC downtown.
The room is rarely maintained, no trashbin available; all rubbish previous guests left lays everywhere in room and patio. The low noise level policy during night is not enforced. I can't actually recommend this hostel.
This hostel is excellent for travellers, who wants to discover Lisboa and don't want to stay in the busiest quarter. The stuff helped everybody to plan their visits and issued helpful information. Bis points are cleanliness and WLAN-access.
