Nice location in the hip and happening neighbourhood of Shoreditch. Walk to the nearest underground station approx. 10minutes. I booked a 6 persons dorm in the hope to have some 'personal space' but dorm was cramped and no windows. Also close to the courtyard with lots of noise of other guests during the night. Although 30 years old but still feeling young, the hostel was a bit 'too many hipsters and I just can't relate to them' ;-) No nice common living room, only a restaurant. Friendly staff.
Lovely atmosphere. It is a hostel and pub as well, so that there are always people around. I was alone but very easy to meet other people. Bus 24 stops in front of the hostel and takes a sightseeing tour along all the city highlights to Camden. Great value for money (especially compared with London standards)
It was recommended to me via-via but i was disappointed. Except for the girl with long black hair the staff was disappointing. Not really eager to help, hard to find for example when we wanted to have some water or order drink. (Bath)room was (except for the clean sheets) not cleaned. Mattresses were thin, got muscle ach the next morning. Loud music until 3am. Missed the great vibe and atmosphere. Postive: Hostel looks nice. Tours offered are good.
