Discovery Hostel

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. As soon as you walk through the door you know you're in a homely, welcoming place. Very comfy beds and well designed rooms with out of the way lockers and storage facilities. Breakfast was all kinds of delicious and the outdoor area made for great atmosphere. The staff are also great and will help facilitate a fantastic stay in Rio, often giving tips for local/non-touristy places. Will definitely be coming back here when I return to Rio.

This was a wonderful hostel. Only stayed here for four days but could have stayed for weeks. Gaucho is a brilliant and helpful host and will help you get the most out of your stay in Jeri. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms clean and comfortable. The outdoor area was great fun as well with plenty of hammocks and long communal tables allowing you to socialise with other guests. Great selection of beverages and snacks for cheap prices from the communal fridge.

Albergaria Hostel

A decent place to stay in Fortaleza or if you're on your way to or from Jericoacoara. The staff I encountered didn't speak English which made for difficult communication. They offer plenty of tours and activities and will assist with transport to Jeri. Rooms were clean with decent facilities. Tiny bathrooms. Nice outdoor area and a cool bar. Overall, nothing special but a pleasant stay.

Books Rehab Hostel

This hostel was an absolute delight. We arrived late at night, tired and hungry. With no food vendors open, Alex (our host) let us help ourselves to the fridge and whip something up. There was a great communal atmosphere in the hostel that encouraged the guests to bond. Staff were friendly, chilled out and offered good information about the town. The place is like a home and although it can be quite messy, it's not dirty and I was very comfortable staying there. Top notch breakfast as well!

Charming place with friendly staff, clean rooms and a nice outdoor area. Only stayed here for one night so can't give a good judgement but I would happily return here.

Francis is a marvellous host and is running an excellent establishment. On booking we received an extensive e-mail giving instructions on how to arrive safely at the hostel and general tips about Lima. The place is a mix between a boutique hotel and a welcoming home. There is a wonderful communal area with excellent facilities and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Francis will make sure your stay in Lima is memorable and help you everything you need. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent party hostel that isn't too "in-your-face". If you prefer to relax, that's more than fine but there is definitely a brilliant social scene on offer. Nice staff, plenty of tours and services on offer. The WiFi was a bit temperamental. Great, open communal area. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun, lively place to stay.

El Argentino Hostel

Decent place with comfortable beds but the rooms were somewhat cramped. Friendly staff who can help with tourism. The kitchen could do with a few more utensils. Large outdoor area but there was never anyone there! Overall the place had a bit of a dull vibe but it was a pleasant enough place to stay.

Cool place to stay near the bus station. Friendly staff. Huge place but they really cram the guests in. Cool outdoor area. Only stayed one night so can't give much more of a review.

On The Road Hostel

Excellent place, I had such a great stay here and honestly felt like I was at home rather than a hostel. Many good times were had on the rooftop terrace and great friends were made. Small but well equipped kitchen and a decent breakfast. Large, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff that are super chilled and quite helpful. The only negative is that there is only one shower available to use. Other than that I would happily stay here again. Best hostel in Palermo.

Eco Pampa Hostel

A lovely hostel that has everything you need. Many tour options available and the friendly staff were able to facilitate a great stay in Palermo. The location was sensational, so close to so many great bars, cafes and restaurants. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was a charming rooftop garden and the reception/lounge area was really cool and a fine place to chill. Highly recommended.

If you're after for a nice, relaxed stay in BA then turn away now! If you're up for some good times and a bit of a party then this is the place for you. The hostel is VERY social and gives a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers. That said the encounters are likely to be fleeting as guests seem to come in and out in an almost production-line type of way. Great tourism options. I did enjoy my time here but I honestly believe one should only stay for a few days because it's quite intense.
