A very good hostel all around. The twin room we stayed at was on the same level as the business hotels you can find all over Japan, but at a better price. Actually, I might even consider it a bit better since it had a comfortable couch. The location is also great: 1 minute from a 7-Eleven and from a convenient streetcar stop that will lead you to the main sights and the station easily and quickly. The staff is nice and helpful. Overall, one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Beautiful location with nice acessibility to the streetcar and within walking distance of a few sights. The staff will give you the amazing city map they made, which is so useful and complete that's almost reason enough to stay there. Unfortunately, the bottom bed in the twin room wasn't entirely comfortable. But, overall, it's a nice choice and I would certainly stay there again.

Excellent location, in front of the main sights in Chinatown, 2-3 minutes from the MRT and with useful bus stops next to it. Very, very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Speaking about the downsides, the toilets share the space with the showers, so everything is usually wet. Being picky, the ladders could be made of wood instead of metal, and could be a little bit wider. The hostel is really good but also really expensive, however, I would certainly stay there again!

Check Inn HK

It's overpriced for what it offers. The location is nice, with a few sights nearby, trams and buses almost at the doorstep and a MTR station 5 minutes away. The rooms are pretty basic, small and with thin mattresses. There's no shelf on the top bunks. The staff is heterogeneous, between the very helpful and the not knowledgeable. The cleaning ladies start making up the beds and open up the windows at about 9 am, even if someone else is sleeping in the room and is Winter. Far from acceptable.

Nice location, about 5 minutes from two LRT stations and close to the Chinatown sights. A good hostel all around, however, take note that just a few rooms have windows. Also, a word of appreciation to the staff that ended up placing me at a private room bed when, at the last minute, I needed to stay there solo for one night and all the dorm beds were already taken.

Amazing location. Just two toilets and two showers, but the hostel is small, so it is usually enough. They're also cleaned very frequently. There's not much in the atmosphere department, it's a simple hostel, but done good. I would easily stay there again.

Very good location, close to the main sights and a few of the best places to eat at the food paradise that is Penang. Extremely helpful staff that you'll give you all the information you need regarding sights, places to eat and transports. The downsides are the somewhat noisy location, due to the vehicles on the nearby street, and the showers that are on the small side so you have to be careful to keep your clothes dry, since there's no curtain or door separating them from the showers.

Absolutely amazing location, right next to the BTS and very close to the Siam Square. Very comfortable beds. Very, very clean bathrooms. The downsides are the somewhat noisy air-con and the breakfast which, at 80B, is somewhat expensive for what it offers, despite being nice. This was actually my second stay at this hostel, which shows, pretty much, how high I rate it.

In our last night, we entered our room just to discover that our beds were taken by some other guys. The staff said it was a mistake on their part, that we were supposed to switch rooms in the last night but their member who checked us in forgot to say that. The cleaning lady recovered our stuff that was outside the lockers, so nothing was lost. However, kinda crappy to lose 1-2 hours moving rooms when you just want to sleep. Forgetting the basic mistake, it is a nice place to stay.

A really amazing location, excellent to explore the main sights and close to the Subte. The beds are a bit noisy but nothing major, and the ladders aren't the best either. Breakfast is really nice and you can eat whatever you want. The only real drawback is the lack of bathrooms. One bathroom for every 3 dorms isn't really enough. Bottomline, not among the best hostels I've been to, but I wouldn't have any problems picking this hostel again, though.

Oops Design Hostel

Oops seemed the Paris hostel with fewer drawbacks for me. You know in advance that there are no lockers (just a safe deposit), which is laughable. The rooms barely fit 2 beds (mine had 4). My bed was also very squeaky and none of them has ladders. Also, all blankets have lots of hair. The location was great though, being just a 30 second walk from the metro and close to the centre. Despite this not being that good, I would probably stay there again, because the alternatives seem even worse.

Wombats City Hostel Berlin

My 2nd stay at a Wombats hostel and another great choice. Amazing location, 1 minute from the U-Bahn and 1 stop from Alexanderplatz, a major hub. Super clean. Comfy beds. Full keycard access to the personal locker, room door and floor door, so it's very safe. The usual very spacious bedrooms and the great breakfast. Also, the restaurant is actually very good with an amazing price/quality ratio. Regarding hostels, is hard to be better than this.

The Loft Hostel Budapest

It's more like a house, where a couple of friends gather together, than a hostel. Amazing staff, which literally become your friends and that are really helpful. There's tons of fun both in and out. It's clean, secure and nicely located, near great (and cheap) restaurants, caf├ęs and transports. But, take note, this is a place where you'll meet people. It's still great if you want to be the solitary fella but you'll be losing a big part of it! Despite all the fun, it's still very quiet at night.

It's hard to get much better than this, as far as hostels go. Super clean, with tons of space, a great ensuite bathroom and full keycard access, including to your locker. The beds were also very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The location is great, being just 1 minute away from Westbahnhof, a major hub, very near the city centre. The breakfast was awesome, but it might be a bit expensive for some, at 3.90 euros. I'll surely stay at a Wombats hostel again.

Prague Square Hostel

This hostel is all about location. That's pretty much it. The hostel door is protected by a code that everyone might know but, other than that, it seems secure, with nice lookers. The staff were very heterogeneous, some being more nice than others. The beds were nice and clean, but the bathrooms were really very small. It's a standard hostel, it doesn't excel at anything but the awesome location. Also, the bar crawl isn't exclusive to the hostel, but hostel members get a small discount.

I stayed there for 4 nights and it was a lovely stay. The location is top notch, being very close to the Central Station and the Dam Square, so you can get everywhere by tram, really fast. The staff was amazing at all times. The breakfast was very good, so were the restaurant and the meals with discount; I almost always ate there. The rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are pretty comfortable. Also, it seems very secure, with good lockers and restricted access to the hostel.
