Always great to stay at Green Man, I always recommend it to friends, Do not expect hotel services though, as it is a hostel on the top of a pub, so it's perfect if your aim is to have a comfortable night of sleep and breakfast, but spend the day out.

CIW Hostel

My stay at CIW was memorable. The dorm where I stayed had a glass-wall with a great view to the sea, where you could watch people practicing windsurfing. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, and the restaurant in the hostel is great. It is the perfect place too if you want to do windsurfing/kitesurfing/etc, as they have all equipment and instructors available. Very nice, I would undoubtedly recommend it!

Very good, and it's on a pub, which really adds up to the atmosphere. The only issue is that there are no good lockers, though there is a luggage storage and small lockers, but you gotta bring your own padlock.

Great hostel, can't complain. Plus as far as I know it's the only one in Auckland with free internet. Would definitely recommend it.

The value for the money is extremely good, but don't expect the comfort of a more expensive hostel. Also I found the dorms to be actually more comfortable than the single room I stayed, because it had no aircon and window, and it's boiling hot all day long.

Very good hostel, very well located, has a game room with a guitar, ping-pong table, pool table and dartboard! The breakfast is simple though, it includes only cereal and milk, but it's ok for me.

I've stayed in many hostels before, not only in Europe, and this was undoubtedly the best hostel I've stayed in so far. Plus, I forgot my kindle in the hostel, and went across Europe for 1 month, when I came back they had kept it for me in perfect state. Totally recommended!

It's not exactly a party hostel, but it's very good in every other aspect. The breakfast is not included though.

Just lacks lockers in the dorms, and the Internet only works in the common room. Apart from that it's all right.
