Chase The Wild Goose Hostel

The one thing we liked was the great staff! Thanks Ian for the wonderful info. Other than that, rooms were freezing cold, it's far from Fort William centre (so better have a car!) and they charge extra for EVERYTHING at the hostel. 17 £ per person for a shared dorm should include internet access and breakfast. DO NOT EAT THEIR BREAKFAST - 3 pounds for moldy bread (yes! It had green spots all over), some cereal and juice. Not worth it at all. Bring your own food - they have an awesome kitchen!

I stayed in 3 different rooms. One was in the basement, under the kitchen (noise from people walking upstairs was awful). Another room was on main level, freezing cold with draft coming in through window and the third had a burning hot shower (could not turn on cold water). No lockers. The kitchen was always VERY DIRTY (food everywhere, messy, piles of dirty dishes, dirty refrigerator). No friendly atmosphere, guests didn't interact. Worst hostel on my euro-trip, but cheap enough.

I loved the rooms here. No bunkbeds! And each bed has it's own divider and flashlight. All hostels should be like this.
