Keystone House Kings Cross

London, England

This was the most expensive hostel of my entire trip and I have stayed in some large capital cities. Excellent location only 5 mins walk from Kings X. Great little breakfast cafe next door. Free breakfast of cereal / toast / tea / coffee provided. Wifi signal only available in common room - surely this can be extended to the dorms? Large rooms with beds quite close together. Take a large padlock for the lockers - small ones don't work and won't be secure. Laundry expensive. Good showers.

I liked the location in little India. Only 10 min walk from metro stop and shops nearby. Great restaurants and bars all around. Smallish common room area. I didn't see a kitchen here? Good wifi and friendly staff.

Good location only 10 mins walk from train station and close to metro. Nice little yakitori food restaurant nearby. Close to 7-11 for snacks. Small but sociable kitchen and living area. Unfortunately no backpackers bar here.

I really liked the capsule style set up of the dorm rooms which gave complete privacy. The bar and courtyards were sociable areas and the little cafe has a good range of drinks and foods on offer.

Spotless new hostel in great location. Friendly helpful staff. Would be better if there was mirrors in room on wall because only one mirror in bathroom between 10 people. Gets busy on a morning.

The hostel itself was fine, great location, good atmosphere and excellent bar and pool. One female member of staff at breakfast was incredibly rude and ignored people 3 times when asking if coffee was available or not, on the 4th request she screamed in the persons face that it wasn't. A polite no would have sufficed. The bookings seem to be done by hand, IE, no computerised system. I met people whpnhad booked 2 nights and were asked to leave on the 2nd day because hostel was full.

Great location in old town, can walk to palace in 20 mins, surrounded by shops, bars and cafes. Has enjoyable tour of DMZ area. Not as lively or party like atmosphere as its other hostels in Hanoi

Best hostel of my trip so far. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic castaways tour and Sapa tour with awesome games, bar, disco and activities. The bar has good themes and I enjoyed pub quiz. Rooms clean with each bed having plug and lockers. Great location in old town. The only downside is no air con in dorms until evening. The 5th floor needs more fans, its unbearably hot up there in day time.

Really good location and easy 10 min walk to pubs, restaurants and night market. Security guards at night. Brilliant pool ( although no shade ) and sandy rooftop bar. Decent range of tours offered. Would be nice if each bed had its own plug socket and lamp. Lockers under beds would-be useful.

I had a great time here and met lots of people. A good party atmosphere and helpful staff with decent range of tours and things to do. Nice bar on the roof which closes around 11PM so you can still get some sleep. Lockers under each bed which is great.

The only reason security is average is because you cant lock the room doors and I was in a 6 bed room and only lockers for 4 people available. Staff were friendly and helpful and free tea and coffee was fantastic. Would be bonus if WiFi also worked in the bedrooms

Lovely sitting area, good WiFi connection and great location in causeway bay. I didn't like the triple bunk bed, I was at the top and it was difficult to get in and out.

Loved this hostel. It has a brilliant atmosphere and some funky decorations. If I could have taken the black 1950's reclining chair and footstool home on the plane with me I would have. They have an amazing bookshelf with some interesting armchair reads, including National Geographic magazines from the 70's and 80's. Food is tasty and staff are friendly and good at recommending restaurants and local tours. Take a sleeping bag or linen costs extra.

I have stayed here at least 3 times now because the location is brilliant, the hostel is clean, tidy, warm and the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is great. It would be much better if breakfast was included and the wifi was free and they had free luggage storage. Most other hostels do, but this one doesn't. Much easier to find a cafe with a cheaper more filling breakfast and free wifi then to stay here in a morning.

It would be nice if there was a kitchen and a bar / common area where you could socialise more with other travellers. Excellent location, only 5-10 min walk into town. Friendly staff and great choices for breakfasts. Have stayed here twice now and the 2nd time had one of the garden rooms - a lot quieter.

I wouldnt have liked to have walked to this hostel on my own at night. Although in good location near to train station the area was seedy. Park nearby full of rubbish, broken alcohol bottles and smelt of wee.
