Baffling experience if its your first time in Japan. Not like a conventional hotel, and the obviously small size of the room has nothing to do with it. It's best to check in, take anything you need out your luggage (change of clothes) and put in the locker, have them stow your bags, change into the pajamas, and don't leave the building. There is everything you need in the complex.

Like many big hostels of this type, it's good, well run and with lots of info and good facilities, for a good price. Lacked a personal touch from the staff, but they were helpful. Again as its large with 6 bed dorms, how much fun you have will depend on who's in your room.
