The hostel was so friendly, a great place to meet other travellers in the large communal area, perfect location and generally clean. The rooms were slightly small but no problem as was out most of the day. Facilities were pretty good and even had a bbq guests could use. The i site was opposite and all buses (stray, kiwi, intercity, naked etc) all pick up and drop off outside the hostel. Would stay here again and would recommend to others. Thanks for having me:)

Great place to stay with a friendly and cosy environment. The staff were very helpful and everything was very clean. Great facilities and a lovely outside area to dine, read, chill or socialise. Large rooms and ok beds. No lockers available in the room I was in but reception are more than happy to look after valuables etc. Would definitely return if I came back to Picton.

Jailhouse Accommodation

Great hostel with great character. Great amenities, especially Netflix for when you've exhausted all sightseeing in Christchurch! Was so grateful for the lovely lady who checked me in when I was feeling poorly. She supplied me with extra pillows and was so kind. It was a friendly place but think some of the staff could make more effort to engage guests. I loved staying here and would definitely return if I was ever in Christchurch again. Thank you for having me :)

This is a hostel you get what you pay. It's relatively cheap and it definitely has no frills. The rooms were exceptionally clean with good air conditioning but the bathroom facilities were not great (limited). Not in the centre but very very close to the MRT with only a few stops until you are in the centre of it all so location isn't a huge problem. No atmosphere or any great friend making opportunities but completely fine if you want something to cater for basic needs. Free wifi is a big bonus

its a great place to stay if you have a car and are going to Sea World, but totally innappropriate if you want to explore San Antonio as it is so far out.
