Aura Thematic Hostel

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Amazing shower!! Location is great, seems like an art-y side of town but within walking distance to most attractions. I stayed in the 4 bed female dorm and it was small but comfortable. Breakfast toast + eggs (no gluten-free option). The drinks at the front desk are too expensive.

Hey thanks for the review Belinda. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Our breakfast also includes a fruit bowl, veggies, and coffee/tea. The drinks at the front desk are $1, which is as cheap as it gets in Phnom Penh unless you buy on the street or at a supermarket. Thanks again and have a great trip!

The Luxury Concept Hostel

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Nice big bed, decent shower, big lockers that fit your whole bag. About a 5 min walk from pub street, very close to the night market though. Would stay again.

clean private room w/ensuite, good shower, only negative was walls are paper thin so a bit noisy

great place to stop and enjoy your surroundings

Vila Veselova

Ljubljana, Slovenia

nice big rooms and comfortable beds. good location for walking/biking to the centre. also great breakfast and really helpful staff. the rooms don't have separately locked doors though so anyone can go in (you have your own locker under the bunk though)

Keystone House Kings Cross

London, England

great location, can be quite noisy but super comfy beds and excellent showers. would stay there again.

The Dictionary, Shoreditch

London, England

some rooms are really big but then I moved to a 6 person dorm and it was so small that we couldn't even open the cages under our bed. there is absolutely no atmosphere in the common room and it shuts pretty early. they do have a bar underneath which is good but when that's closed as well there's nowhere to get free wifi and the paid wifi is terrible. also it's a pretty decent walk from most stations.

Hatters on Newton Street

Manchester, England

located in a great part of manchester, would stay there again.

Newcastle upon Tyne, England

friendly staff and great kitchen

Oxford Backpackers Hostel

Oxford, England

I stayed in one of the big dorms and it was incredibly noisy. location's good if you're coming in by train.

Gallery Hyde Park

London, England

The staff were really friendly and it's in a great spot but the showers were terrible! all three that I tried had problems (no water pressure, no hot water, no cold water) and there were so many stairs

The Island Accommodation YHA

Phillip Island, Australia

the location's a bit far from the main sites if you don't have a car but the hostel's really nice.

Jetpak Alternative

Berlin, Germany

brilliant hostel! the staff were excellent, really helpful and encouraging. I broke my shoes while walking around Berlin and they gave me a pair that someone had left over (thanks neil!) rooms are great as well, really big and clean. the bathrooms are massive with heated floors and new shower heads. i would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Andre Gill

Paris, France

location is brilliant with some really trendy bars just down the road. the hotel itself is pretty boring but the staff are really friendly and cool. you need to pay with cash here but there's an ATM down the road. bathroom was hilariously small though but that's to be expected in Paris.

PLUS Florence

Florence, Italy

great hostel! there's a pool but it's not heated so during the winter it's too cold to swim. the bar and common room are great for meeting people and the 6 person room was really big with full length lockers and was cleaned every day. bit of a hike from the station but worth it

The Yellow

Rome, Italy

location's really good and the bar/common area is great for meeting fellow travellers. the bathrooms weren't very clean and the toilets hardly ever flushed properly but it's pretty decent for rome.
