Not a bad place to stay. Arriving after dark it was a little hard to find it. Also, it wasn't clear how to check in. The rooms were quite cramped. On the plus side they were very helpful and prepared bagged breakfasts the night before. The bathroom was good and the room was warm.

Overall, this is a pretty good place. The staff are very professional and helpful. The whole place is really clean which is great. It has more of a hotel vibe than a hostel vibe. There is no kitchen which is really annoying. Also, the wifi was really bad when I was there, though they said they were working on getting it fixed. I would definitely consider staying here again.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. The staff are incredibly informative, friendly and helpful. At check-in they give you an introduction to the area and even looked some things up on the Internet to make sure they gave correct answers. A big breakfast. Free laundry. Huge lockers. Hairdryers for free. The whole place is really clean. I wish all hostels were this good.

Pretty good hostel. The rooms were big and had lots of space both in the rooms and throughout the hostel. The only problem was the wifi didn't seem to work. I might stay here again but the wifi was a big problem.

Would never stay here again. When I arrived in the evening, well after dark, and there was no one to answer the door. I waited outside for close to 30 minutes before another guest arrived and let me inside. I had to continue to wait for staff to show up so I could be checked in. The rooms themselves were perfectly fine. The shower doors were less than desirable since there was a big gap between the doors so there isn't a lot of privacy.

The staff was very helpful. However, the check-in and reception area is in a bar area which is very loud at night so that can be a bit frustrating and the staff didn't always seem to be at the desk. You have to pay extra for sheets that weren't even that good, very stiff and uncomfortable. Not a lot of atmosphere. I needed to stay in Dresden another night and I moved to a a different location. Would not stay here again.

Nice place and helpful staff Even though it is not in the center it is not a problem since the tram, which runs all night, will take you straight there. I would probably stay here again if I came back to Berlin.

Thanks for your comment! Staff is always available, but of course we're not always sitting at reception, we might be helping people somewhere else, we're out shopping or out for lunch, cleaning the kitchen, serving at the bar, cleaning outside, etc :-) Do come back one day, safe travels!

The place seems new and is very clean. The staff are friendly. The location isn't great. It is not a great part of town nor is it near close to things. The room is a bit small but not terrible. The bathroom could use better lighting, hooks/shelves and a better mirror placement. Not terrible but could be better. It feels a lot more like a hotel than a hostel. So if you are looking for that atmosphere, this is not the place. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again, because of the atmosphere.

The location and security was good. There is a working elevator which is really nice. It was a little disappointing to have to have to pay for luggage storage. The showers were incredible frustrating as they were automatic and you had to keep pushing the button every 10 seconds. The kitchen wasn't big enough and had a strange smell that seemed to stick with your clothes and hair. If I came back to Edinburgh I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Overall the hostel was fine. It would have been nice if the showers had more room or someplace to put your things. The hostel is huge with a lot of people. Even though the place is big it still feels a bit crowded in places like the kitchen. Also lots of steps with no elevator, not great if you have a big suitcase. I might stay here again if I had to.

This hostel was fine. The location is good but not great. It is close enough to walk to most things but it is a little bit of a walk. The place was mostly clean, kinda normal hostel clean-not the best but not bad. The owner was friendly and seemed willing help with any questions. The hostel really lacks any atmosphere and there is no real common room to meet people. If I had to stay here again I would but there are other hostel that I liked more in the city.

Thanks for nice review. We might be 20-25min away from center but staying with us saves you certain amount of money (we are 30-50% cheaper than city center hostels for the same type of the room) so you can use saved money for other interests.. :)

The location is decent. It is a short walk from the bus/train station and the main attractions. The room and common areas were clean. The bathrooms and kitchens weren't the best but not bad for hostel standards. There is a lock to the front door of the building and there are lockers available but there is no locks for the actual hostel or the rooms.
