Bunkies Hostel, Saranda, Albania
10.0
19th Aug 2016

Going to Bunkies is like going to your friends' place. The owners are the nicest and friendliest people ever and willing to help you with absolutely anything with always having a smile on their face. They give great recommendations for things to do and places to go to. The hostel is right on the promenade and very close to the port and bus stop. The rooms have AC and individual lockers. Definitely recommend it!

Lorenc Guesthouse & Hostel, Berat, Albania
10.0
14th Aug 2016

Going to Lorenc' is not just staying at a hostel but it's an absolutely facinating experience. The building is beautiful, with a beautiful little backyard where you can have food and drinks and meet other people. The location is great. And the hostel is super clean. Lorenc makes his own wine, cooks incredible food and sings you opera! Probably one of the most amazing and interesting travel experiences i've ever had. Absolutely recommend it!

This is awesome boutique hostel. Huge rooms & bathrooms, very comfortable beds w/ individual light and plug. AC & lokcers in room. Everything is super clean and new. Location is less than 5 min walk to the old town. The owner is the nicest guy ever, very friendly and always willing to help. It's a bit difficult to meet other travelers there but the restaurant downstairs is a good place to meet locals, listen to Macedonian music and eat awesome and very cheap food. Really loved it!

The staff are super super nice always smiling and willing to help with anything you may need. The hostel is very cute, with a nice backyard where you can meet other travellers. Location is close to the main square in Tirana. Would stay there again.

This is a pretty big hostel in an awesome old building. I Stayed in a 5 bed dorm; rooms are spacious and clean with individual lockers. There is a little kitchnett in each room with a sink and a fridge. The AC works well. Beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are small but clean. The common area is good for meeting other people and socializing. They organize dinners and pub crawls which are good. Location is perfect and in the old town. They also organize good tours. Definitely recommend it!

Stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. Rooms have AC and individual lockers. The location is about 7 min walk to the old town. Atmosphere is great and perfect for meeting other travelers. Taso is super nice and fun to hang out with. He also organizes a tour of Herzegovina which I totally recommend. They can also organize shuttles to other cities/countries. This is one of those hostels that you will never forget. I definitely recommend!

This is a brand new hostel at a perfect location (in the old town and within walking distance to everything). It's super super clean with spacious and modern rooms and bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and there is AC in the room. There is a clean kitchen with free coffee. The owners are absolutely wonderful and helpful. They really go above and beyond in helping you. They also organize a tour with an awesome guide which I absolutely recommend. Definitely stay here if you go to Sarajevo!!

Stayed in a private room. Room: spacious; clean; some w/ AC some just a fan; no locker; comfortable bed, they clean the room everyday. Bathrooms: clean w/ hot showers. Location: great. Staff: nice and helpful (I asked to change my room and they moved all my stuff for me & prepared my new room when I was gone on a day tour). Free breakfast (really good). Free drinking water. Not much of a chance to meet other travelers but that is the case for most Galapagos hostels. definitely recommend it!

Stayed in a private room for one night. Room: super clean & spacious; comfortable bed, w/ AC. Bathroom: Super clean w/ hot shower. Staff: amazingly nice and helpful (I got there at 8 pm and was leaving at 5 am and they did my laundry ($7) and even cooked me dinner). Cool and super clean common area and kitchen. Location: good (7 min to airport ($5)). Can't tell about atmosphere as I was only there for a few hours. Absolutely recommend this hostel!

30th Dec 2015

Stayed in a 4bed dorm.Rooms: extremely small (maybe 2*3 meters), no space for backpacks, in fact the smallest hostel room I've ever stayed at; no lockers,1 outlet, 1 room key for everyone. Bathrooms: extremely small & disgusting; no hot shower, no handsoap. Common are: cool w/ hammocks. Location: not on the beach (2 min walk) which is good bc it's a bit less noisy. Staff: nice & helpful (the only good thing about this hostel). Absolutely not worth the money, I don't recommend this hostel at all!

Zavial Beach Accommodation, Sagres, Portugal
8.0
31st Jul 2015

Zavial is more like staying at a friend's place than a hostel. The place is spotless and probably even cleaner than your own apartment! Paulo and his mom are super friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to a pretty beach but there is nothing else besides that and a restaurant there. If you want to chill somewhere and are not looking to party it is for you, but if you want a nightlife you probably should stay somewhere else. It is much better if you have a car so you are free to move around.

Thank you for your stay at the ZBA :) We are surrounded by beaches, several beaches within walking distance, and 2 restaurants very close! And many trails to discover! Many thanks and all the best. Cheers, Paulo

This is a party hostel, so if you want to go to bed early don't stay here. Music from the bar upstairs stays on till 3 am. The rooms are okay but the one i stayed in had a smell to it. The beds are comfortable, not enough outlets in the room and the lockers are small. There is no key to the rooms and sine the room is by the pool anyone can walk in to your room. There are only fans in the rooms so it can get pretty hot. The bathrooms were clean and staff were helpful.

One of the best and most comfortable hostels I've ever stayed at. The building is very beautiful, the rooms are spacious and super clean, beds very comfortable with individual lights and outlets. Definitely a party hostel, good atmosphere, awesome bar where everyone hangs out, the beds are comfortable but the rooms are kinda small. Bathrooms could be cleaner. The staff are not the nicest and the most helpful. They didn't give us keys to our room so every time we had to go to the reception and ask them to open the door for us which was very annoying. Free breakfast was good.

Very nice hostel within walking distance (10 min) to all the restaurants and bars. Sophie (the owner) is such a nice, helpful and cool lady and makes you feel at home. The rooms are nice and comfortable (with lockers) and the bathrooms are clean. There is a common area with lots of books and DVDs. There is also a nice rooftop where you can chill. The apartment was very clean, the room had a balcony with beautiful view of the sea. The guy who rents the place is super friendly and nice. He took us for a ride around town and to some lavender fields for about 100 kuna. The location is good (7,8 minute walk to the old town). Definitely recommend!!

This is more like a hotel than a hostel. About 15 minutes walk to the beach (so not too close). There is a supermarket close to it. Overall the room was nice and clean. They have laundry service. The price was a bit expensive compared to other hostels in Costa Rica. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but canceled 2 of them. Did not like Tamarindo at all! If you want a place full of American bars and bad restaurants then that's the place for you, otherwise don't even bother going there!

Great hostel! Awesome, super friendly staff. Stayed there for 4 nights in a 8 bed room and came back again for another 2 nights. I had a huge suitcase and couldn't take it with me and the staff let me leave my luggage there for two days! even hotels won't do that for you!!The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is big and clean. There is a bar on the rooftop which is very nice. The pup crawls were nice as well. There is a fridge in each room. Awesome hostel!Totally Recommend

Great hostel! Awesome location, close to a couple of subway lines and easy to walk everywhere. The staff is nice and friendly. The patio is very nice as well. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. There is a big kitchen where you can cook or keep your food in the fridge. The common area is very nice and cute. The staff made sure that hostel was quite after a certain hour at night, so you can get a good night sleep compared to most hostels. I highly recommend this hostel and especially the location!
