Fine hostel, the staff were very patient and helpful. Beds are good, two types of jam with your bread un the morning (bit of a plus). Bar is good fun, but also quiet enough if you need to sleep - for the early morning treks.

The building is nice, roof top is ok but more geared as a bar than a daily chill out area. One common room so very easy to meet people, quiet enough but social. Sadly there is an infestation of bed bugs. Had to move twice, never got bitten but people on the bottom bunks did. Showers are bad, and a lot of the lockers are broken. Could do with some investment. Maids come and clean the kitchen/make your bed, so other than bed bugs it is clean. Two croissants and bread for brecky.

Hi, we are sorry to hear about your bad experience in Portal del Sur. Our hostel is very concerned about the bed bug issue. We run operations of disinfection on a regular basis and we have bought specific equipments, hired the most qualified specialists and attended trainings. We have worked seriously on this issue and we deeply hope that we won’t suffer from this problem anymore. Following your comment, we also fixed the showers and lockers. Thank you very much for your review

Was fine, amazing location - in the centre next to the bus station, but no real common area. A corridor with a couch but not ideal for meeting people. Pool was pretty dirty, but nice around it. Breakfast was cornflakes and lemon cake, not bad at all. Would reccomend it.

If you want to chill, go here. Hammocks everywhere, pool with shady areas, beach not far, and buses to take you anywhere. Loved our time here, but it wasn't wild. We did yave a few party nights but loved it. Breakfast was amazing, freshly squeezed orange juice and loads more, great bq and free food. Always making popcorn, provide free pasta and veg. Could have stayed here for ages!

Location is a bit out, but buses were so easy and it was so nice not staying in a tourist area. Gave us lots of opportunities to hang with locals, and could walk around at night. Met great people and loved my time here. Comfy bed and they weren't strict about the air con. Great common room to hang in, staff liked to party and took us out. Breakfast was bad, and it was kinda dirty if I think about it.

Couldn´t say enough nice things about Luka. Accommodation has a lovely view, he greeted us with a cold glass of beer and filtered coffee for us at 6am when we were leaving. Hosted a fantastic BBQ were all house guests meet up, threw his name around the pubs and got a couple free shots.

Don't advertise BBQ if not available, very basic kitchen not really designed for cooking, not too impressed. But a great view which you wouldn't see otherwise and nice lettuce for a salad from the garden.

As you cook the second half of the kitchen and left in a terrible state. The grill can not be completed in 15 minutes I'm afraid.
