Cleanliness: gross! tables and esp kitchen countertops and plates etc were sticky with grime. Cats rummaging through the open garbage can in kitchen at night. The host is a hobby painter and didn't seem to care much about his guests. The beds are worn out and saggy, pillows and blankets are vintage. I stayed there twice and the first time there were no blankets available. The basement rooms have tiny windows and the a/c was on despite chilly temps outside. One girl got sick because of this.

loved the place! This hostel is special - greatest hostel in Israel that I have stayed in! BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!!! Friendly staff with lots of recommendations for onward travel, maps, etc. A must: the free tour of Nazareth. The lady is not a professional and rushes through it (be careful not to linger anywhere or you'll lose your group!) - but it's a good tour nonetheless if your interest goes beyond visiting the usual churches which you can very well do on your own. Loved my stay there!
